•Third person Pov: Lee•

He finally spotted Gaara after he had been looking for him throughout the party. He saw him give Neji the gift and was pleased with his reaction. He slowly started to approach Gaara as he tried to avoid him. Suddenly he turned to face him.

• Third person Pov: Gaara •

He turned to face Lee. Why was he so upset? He had just been overreacting right? Before he could speak Lee trampled him with apologies.

"L-Listen, I know what you saw the other day and it was a misunderstanding! I-I don't like Tenten..."
He trailed off as he looked to the ground.

"Then why did you kiss her...?"
Gaara squeaked out, his voice sounding hollow and frail.

"I didn't! S-She kissed me, she was confessing to me. I told her I didn't feel that way about her as soon as it happened!"
He said trying to make a statement as if he were in court.

"Well...why do I care? Why are you telling me?"
He asked.

Lee took a few steps towards Gaara making the distance between them nothing more than a small gap.

"Because.....because I like you!"
He shouted as his face turned red.

The attention of some of the people was drawn as Gaara leaned in and kissed him.

• Third person Pov: Lee •

He leaned in and kissed him softly on the lips. He was gentle despite his rough nature. Lee kissed him back with passion as he wrapped his arms around his neck. Gaara wrapped himself around Lee tightly like he never wanted to let go.

After a minute they broke the kiss due to lack of oxygen and the adoring stares from their peers whom had witnessed the long awaited romance between the two.

• Third person Pov: Gaara •

He looked up into Lee's eyes with a small smile plastered on his face. Lee smiled back at him.

"Oh! I almost forgot!" 

He turned and walked into the other room to get something. Gaara noticed two smirks from across the room that he knew all to well. They belonged to his sister and brother who were lucky enough to witness what they just had. He gave them a piercing glare as Lee returned.

"Here.."

He said handing him a bag that seemed familiar. He opened it and pulled out the compass watch he had bought for him. Lee smiled as he rolled up his sleeve and showed him the matching watch around his wrist.

~ Time Skip: End of the party ~

Lee, Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro had left together a bit late because Temari and Lee insisted on helping clean up. By now it was dark outside. They all walked home trying to hold Temari up onto her feet. She definitely had one to many drinks. When they arrived Kankuro got Temari into the house and left Lee with Gaara outside who was a little drunk himself.  Gaara had almost fallen asleep standing. Lee was holding up to help him keep balance.

" Lee....?" He asked looking up into his eyes.

"Yes?"

"Can we train together again sometime?"

Lee laughed a bit to himself and smiled.

"Of course we can."

Gaara smiled and kissed him softly on the lips. Lee kissed him back pulling him close. He never wanted this moment to end. He held him tightly as Gaara wrapped his arms around his neck. 

"What a beautiful night!" 

Kankuro said standing behind them in the doorframe. He laughed a bit as Lee and Gaara pulled away and laughed a bit.
