Porchay lazily twirled the red ballpoint pen he'd been holding for the past hour. He still remembers where he got it. He's not sure if it was left in his music notes on purpose or if the owner simply forgot to bring it back. He looked up at the blue sky absentmindedly. Fortunately, the colour did not correspond to his current mental state. Shady. The soft chirping of the bird made him feel better in some ways.

Kim sent him that video five months ago, and he still can't get it out of his head. The absence of the older weakeaned him day by day. Luck has been detached from his life.

Changing his sitting position nearly knocked the guitar next to him off the sofa, so he placed it on the stand. Nothing motivates him to compose another song. Returning the items scattered on the table back to the bag is better suited.

Up to the present, he has so far refused to believe Kim's words, claiming they were all for his own benefit. He wouldn't have to come over to their house to teach him how to play the guitar and write a song, and he wouldn't have to put up with all of their mushy moments. Wiping each other's mouths with a slow-motion effect, as the characters in a drama do, is not a brotherly act. Unless, of course, they're being paid to please the readers right now. He knows what Kim said was the polar opposite of what he really thinks of him.

In retrospect, he's somewhat relieved Kim didn't block him on Line, but he lacks the courage to send him a message. He likes to ask Porsche for help, but he can't just blurt out what Kim did to him. His older brother is so preoccupied with his work that the only thing he can do is give him a monthly stipend. He misses him; his cooking and wishes he could have his undivided attention, but he knows that won't happen and that expecting too much of him would be unreasonable. But at the very least, they can see each other once a month. That is already fine with him.

With so many issues to deal with, going backwards now is pointless. He dressed quickly in a deep red t-shirt, white pants, and maroon Jordan 4s, not forgetting to put on his favourite perfume.

~~
He'd already been standing outside the Main family's front door for 15 minutes. If his memory serves him correctly, the last time he set foot at Theerapanyakul's residence was also the day Kim sent him the video. But before he could knock, the door was opened for him. Tankhun greeted him with his haughty demeanour. Porchay smiled and returned the wave, as did the two bodyguards flanking their master.

Despite seeing Pol and Arm several times a month since her older brother married Kinn, he wanted to remain the same as he had been before they met. He doesn't want to think highly of himself after being related to Theerapanyakul's family.

"Wow. You wai'd at them, but didn't wai to me? Hello? You're adorable P'Tankhun is right in front of you—wait, why didn't you come inside straightaway? You know we don't always keep the front door locked." Tankhun raised his brow, highlighting that he had no intention of changing the subject. Porchay noticed it and grinned sourly before scratching his nape and wai'd to him. He tried to answer each question individually because it was becoming awkward, but Tankhun's hug cut him off.

"Phi I couldn't breathe."

Tankhun quickly drew away from the hug. "How many times have I told you not to wear any perfume? Your baby fragrance is already enough. But okay, you know, you really timed it well; come inside and join us for lunch," Tankhun winked at him, hanging his heavy arm on the young man's shoulder.

~~
When they got to the dining room, Porchay kept standing, so Tankhun gently drew him to his side. Tankhun's eyes darted around the room before settling on the two vacant seats. "Uhm... buttercup, don't worry too much about your older brother because Kinn is more concerned with him than with himself, so don't be stressed out; instead, fill your tummy, honey, okay?"

Porchay only nodded and smiled. In fact, not his brother, but the person sitting across from Tankhun, who is simply eating quietly.

~~
Only the clinking of expensive cutlery against the fine plates can be heard inside the room. The dishes prepared by professional chefs are all delectable, but they will be worthless if the visitor doesn't have a bite of them.

Tankhun broke the silence after a few minutes of enjoying the new menu. Porchay was even surprised when he thought Tankhun was speaking to him.

"What brought you here?" Tankhun was always bitchy when asking someone, but with this person, he tries really hard to be brave enough.

"I'm talking to you, kid!"

Instead of giving a response, Kim stood up and left without saying a word before Porchay could intervene. He, who was still confused, followed him immediately. He almost didn't make it, coupled with the fact that he half-walked, half-ran because the man was walking way too fast.

"P'Kim," Porchay said, almost out of breath, as he grabbed Kim's arm. The elder turned to face him.

"P'Kim, can we have a talk?" He didn't know where he got the courage to ask him that, but such a rare opportunity couldn't be passed up. He had been looking forward to this for a long time.

Kim's bored expression made his heart ache. He always had that contagious smile on his lips when they were together. But now's not the time to cry, as he had done at their last meeting on the same spot, so he told him what he wanted.

"Have you still not ingrained in your mind the words I told you the last time?" Kim sighed, "Look, I'm just being nice to you because I need some clues to finish the puzzle; that's it; I didn't actually expect you to think of it in a romantic way."

Porchay's brows subconsciously met, confused, but he clenched his fists to suppress all of his emotions. "When you told me all those words, I'd already ingrained them in my head, Phi, but what about the video you sent me? What was that for Phi? P'Kim, I thought that was the end of me, but when I watched the video, I regained my hopes."

"Fortunately, it was an accident."

"Fortunately? I won't believe you P'Kim-"

"I still have a lot of things to do." He walked away coolly, hands in his pockets.

Hiding behind one of the pillars, Tankhun slowly approached Porchay, who was about to cry when his younger brother had finally left.

"I guess I should apply for a job as a detective now."

Porchay is speechless. He looked down, surprised and embarrassed. Tankhun clung to his arm, adjusting his shiny red coat. "We'd better finish our lunch. If you want, you can share with me everything that my wicked brother did to you."

~~
"Deep in thought?" Kim was still standing outside the front door when Vegas, who had lit a cigarette, interrupted him."

"Before you want to get involved in someone else's business, don't you know smoking is banned here?" He asked, yanking the cigarette from his mouth and stomping on it before leaving without waiting for Vegas to respond.

Seeing Kim's problematic attitude, he grinned. He took his phone out of his pocket and dialled a number, which was promptly answered by the person on the other end of the line.

("Hello Phi.")

Being aware of the myriad CCTV cameras, he secretly checks his surroundings and lowers his voice as much as he can. "You can now follow me here at the Main Family's house; avoid any blunders or else we'll be fucking dead in no time; I can't let it happen unless Porsche says yes to me; do you understand?" He didn't wait for the response, dropped the call, and went inside as though nothing had happened.
