(This was my first attempt at rhyming poetry!)
When I know it's lost, remove every trace
There's no way to soften this fall from grace
I believed a lie, tried to make it true
Can't remember why but I always knew
It was going to end this way for us
Didn't want to mourn all the misplaced trust
I know now that I had too much to loose
When would I ever have gotten to choose?
You were never the same as all the rest
But no one could have passed my final test
Whatever you gave I still wanted more
Now it's game over, an uneven score
You couldn't fix me but I'm glad you tried
No words left to say when both of us lied
Although you always held me together
It was too much to hope for forever
I'm feeling like I've wasted all my tears
I'm scared that you know all my deepest fears
I can't help feeling just a bit betrayed
Or was I just another game you played?
I've finally lost in this endless race
There's no way to soften this fall from grace
