The doctors marionette

Part 1

"BIG BROTHER ALBEDO!" Klee came bursting through the cat's tail doors in search of albedo, upon spotting him she ran over and began to speak still out of breath "There's a mean orange haired man attacking big brother!"

"Huh?" Albedo looked confused at Klee's sudden appearance.

It was one of those rare times where Albedo had descended dragonspine for longer than a day and had decided to go for a drink. He was originally going to go to angel's share but when he saw how crowded it was he decided to go the cat's tail instead.

Once he had sat down at the bar and received his drink Albedo found himself being talked to by a man with a mask covering half his face who gave off the impression that he was important and by extension someone who Albedo should at least know off. Despite not knowing who this stranger was they were having a lovely chat about alchemy when Klee suddenly bursted into the bar.

"There's a mean orange haired man hurting big brother Kaeya! Big brother bedo you have to stop him," Klee was starting to draw attention to them which was the last thing the socially awkward alchemist wanted.

"It's alright Klee, give me just a minute and I'll go with you," now turning his attention to the man he had been drinking with "I'm so sorry to I have to leave so abruptly-"

"Actually I'm rather concerned that this man this little girl is talking about may be my colleague and I'd rather not have him making a commotion on our official business. So would it be alright if I came with you?"

Slightly stunned by the masked mans response Albedo agreed. The two of them quickly payed for their drinks then quickly left following Klee to angel's share then down some stairs until they were far enough away to not be able to cause a noticeable commotion but also within walking distance of the bar.

Then Albedo spotted them. Kaeya. The ginger haired man. Diluc. And blood. Lots of blood. Lots of Kaeya's blood. Why wasn't Diluc stopping that man? That horrible horrible man who dared to harm Kaeya and in front of Klee as well. All of a sudden Kaeya felt a lot frailer, like someone who Albedo needed to protect.

The ginger was about to attack him again but Kaeya's defence was already up, thankfully. Albedo was about to attack when a calm, commanding voice came from behind him,

"Tartaglia stop."

It was a simple sentence yet it was powerful. Tartaglia stopped his attack and turned around to look at the man behind him. On closer inspection this 'Tartaglia' was inquired more than Albedo had initially thought. Good.

"Tartaglia what on tevyt is going on here? Why are you attacking monstadt's cavalry captain? And why are you losing, if you start a fight you need to be strong enough to win,"

"Master Dottore, I apologise for making such a commotion, I meant to make this a subtle procedure but evidently I failed,"

Fed up with no answers at to what was going on Albedo decided to ask "Diluc what's going on?"

"Albedo this is none of your business, it's family matters,"

"Oh so now I'm family or are you that close with your new fatui boyfriend that he's more like family than I ever was brother?" There was so much venom in Kaeya's voice when he had said brother it was like he had transformed into a different person, one Albedo had never met before.

"I should bloody well hope so after all the shit you put 'Luc through,"

"After all the shit I put him through?"  Albedo noticed that Kaeya's finger tips were starting to freeze over, that was a sure sign that Kaeya was pissed. Albedo had only seen it happen a few times and each time Kaeya had caused havoc afterwards. "Kaeya let's just leave,"

"Not now Albedo," it was no good Albedo got the impression that the only person he might listen to right now was Klee or maybe Jean.

"What the fuck have you told him Diluc?"

"Nothing that concerns you,"

"Well clearly that's a lie or we wouldn't be here right now," Kaeya started walking off past through Klee Albedo and this 'Dottore' person. Kaeya climbed the stars and stopped at the top "If dad were still alive Diluc he would be so fucking ashamed of you, you lying hypocrite. At least I have an excuse,"

"Kaeya," Albedo was in pure shock. He had never heard Kaeya say such a cruel thing and the way he said it... it was almost with joy like he had wanted to say it for years but could never quite bring himself to.

"You khaenri'an traitor,"

"Very creative master Diluc,"

Dottore who had only half been listening to the argument perked up at the word 'khaenri'an' truth be told that's really why he had talked to the alchemist because of the mark on the his neck but if this Kaeya was a living human who had survived the catastrophe 500 years ago he would be infinitely better than a mere imitation of one and he could actually do experiments on him unlike Pierro. This could Dottore's big break on his current research but yet how to acquire such a fine specimen?

As he was pondering this question the red haired man charged at this 'Kaeya' person but fortunately the alchemist stopped him. Dottore was still thinking when Diluc said "I'll make sure you never set foot in monstadt again you fucking monster," well there was Dottore's solution if Kaeya was a wanted criminal no one would suspect him disappearing, all Dottore had to do was make sure that it happens.

Kaeya just walked off not caring for Diluc shouting at him. Whilst maybe he had been a bit to harsh with what he said there was no going back now, he wasn't going to let Diluc ruin his life again, no if it was gonna get ruined it would be on his own terms.

Albedo was trying to calm Diluc whilst making sure Klee wasn't to panicked and praying that Tartaglia wouldn't start trying to fight Kaeya again. Kaeya began walking off which was probably the best move he could've made. Dottore, who had been oddly quiet during the past few minutes walked over to Tartaglia and started talking to him.

This was good all Albedo had to do now was convince Diluc not to go tell Jean.
