You and Me II Cynonari

Cyno POV

I got invited again? I don't really like parties. After our rescue mission of saving Lesser Lord Kusanali and getting my position back as General Mahamatra, Nilou keeps inviting me to hang out or joining a party. *sigh* Everyone knows that I don't like to join a party. But why does she keep inviting me? She does write that I am allowed to bring someone since it's a goodbye party for Dehya. All the other parties were just for their theater. Dehya was part of the rescue mission and helped a lot. I probably should just say my goodbye to her and then I go. I could ask Tighnari. He didn't have a lot of spare time to go to the surprise party that was held for me being back to my position. Since those 'sages' decided to escape to the forest. He may have more spare time since Collei got cured from Eleazar and now takes over a lot of tasks of Tighnari.

I walked into Tighnari's room seeing him talking with Collei. 'Am I interrupting something?' I asked. Tighnari looked at me and said: "We were just talking about the coming tasks this week. Nothing too special." 'Anything important?' I asked. 'No not really.' Tighnari replied. 'Why are you asking that Cyno? Do you want to take Tighnari somewhere?' Collei said with a grin on her face.

'Collei, since when do you read minds?' I replied. Tighnari looked at me with curiosity. 'You want to take me somewhere?' He asked. 'Yes, remember Dehya? She is going to leave and Nilou hosted a goodbye party for her.' I answered. 'Hm Dehya? Oh yes I remember her. Of course I will go with you!' Tighnari replied with a smile.

*The day of the party*

As we walked inside I say multiple familiar people. The traveler, Paimon, Nilou, Dehya and....

Al Haitham. Of course he is here. Even though we worked together in the rescue mission I still don't like him. Oh no he is walking this way.

'Cyno I didn't expected you here. And who is this little friend of yours?' Al Haitham asked. 'None of your business' I replied. We gave each other a dead stare until someone interrupts us. 'Hey, we are not going to create a fight or are we?' A voice said. I look away from Al Haitham and I see Dehya. 'N-No no of course not.' I mumbled. 'Good. I don't need a fight at my goodbye party.' Dehya replied. She noticed Tighnari and said: "Tighnari! I see you got better since we last met. The thunder hit you pretty hard." Tighnari replied with: "Aha yes indeed. The days after that I didn't even dare to go outside when it was raining." Dehya nodded and said: "I understand. And I am glad you are here." Tighnari nodded as a response and gave a smile.

While Tighnari and Dehya talked further about some other things, Al Haitham said: "We can't fight now but I would have won anyways." I slowly got more irritated. 'Pff in your dreams.' I replied. 'Prove it. Prove it you are better by a competition who can drink the most.' Al Haitham fired back. Argh. He really boils my blood. I should listen to Tighnari's advice and not being on the same low level as him. 'I am not that childish.' I fired back. Al Haitham replied with: "Well I guess I am going to tell everyone that the General Mahamatra didn't accepted a competition. Because he was scared to accept it." 'As if someone would believe that stupid shit.' I replied back. Al Haitham said with a grin: "I guess we are going to know about that now." 'OKAY THEN. Fine. I will accept your childish competition.' I said with irritation.

Tighnari POV

When I was talking with Dehya until a girl with red hair walked up to us. 'Hey Nilou.' Dehya said. 'Hi Dehya and a new friend perhaps?' The girl apparently called Nilou said with a smile. 'Ah hi I am Tighnari nice to meet you.' I replied. 'Dehya! Do you want to join this game?' Paimon screamed across the theater. 'Okay okay. Next time don't scream Paimon.' Dehya replied and walked away waving a small goodbye.

'I never saw you before so you must be someone's friend am I right?' Nilou asked. 'Ah yes I am here with Cyno.' I replied. 'With Cyno I see...' Nilou replied back.

Why does she looks different then before? Nilou noticed that I was looking with a concerned face and said: "Since you are friends with Cyno you probably can help me with him." 'What do you mean with helping?' I asked. 'Well... I have a crush on Cyno for some time now. And since you are his friend you can probably help me so I know if he likes me!' Nilou answered. 'Well Nilou... He is already taken.' I replied. I saw Nilou's mood changing very quickly. 'W-With who...?' She asked. I took a deep breath and said: "With me."

I will try to get the next chapter done next week before weekend. Because I feel guilty for this and the other short chapter I posted this week. But ty all for the 1K reads! I really can't believe this so please stay tuned for the next chapter!
