Hi everyone!

Merry Christmas!! I hope y'all enjoy your vacation/holiday! Here ya go a Christmas special chapter. This has nothing to do with the last few chapters. Just a oneshot : )

I also want to ask if you guys want to check out my latest video on my YouTube channel (Cwasaunt 19). It's a special Genshin video because today is exactly a year ago that I started playing Genshin. You don't have to watch it but I would appreciate it.

Tighnari POV

'Master Tighnari! We are going to decorate the trees! Are you joining us?' Collei asked. 'I will come later. I need to finish my papers first, okay?' I respond. 'Alright then!' Collei responded and left.

It sadly doesn't snow in the forest but we were able to create some fake snow. We will let is 'snow' when it's Christmas. Christmas.. This Christmas will be my first Christmas with Cyno being.. my boyfriend. I hope he comes back soon, tomorrow it will be Christmas and he hasn't returned from his mission. He promised that no matter what happens he will be back before Christmas ends. Well there is still a day left for him so I shouldn't be impatient.

As I finish writing my papers and clean up my desk, I notice a letter. How could I forgot a letter? It got brought to me this morning and it's already evening. I pick up the letter and open it up. I already notice it's a letter from Cyno. A smile grows on my face and I start reading.

My dearest Tighnari,

How have you been? Remember to not put too much work on yourself okay? Let Collei take over some tasks for you if things are too much. How is Collei? How is her health? I hope there are not too much problems in the forest.

I will keep this letter short since I have a lot to do. And I want to apologise. I may not be able to celebrate this Christmas with you. There are some troublesome people in the desert. I have been trying to locate them for two months. I will try with all my might to catch them and be on time for Christmas. Don't be sad if I am not able to celebrate Christmas with you. I will come back and I can make sure that I will there for New Year's.

H-He might not be coming back before Christmas? I feel a pain in my chest and sadness going through my body. I let the letter go. .... No Tighnari. Get yourself together. You knew that this could happen. I knew this could happen.. Why do I still feel sad?

'In 3, 2, 1 lights on!' The kids screamed. I turn the switch on and little white lamps are covering the trees and houses. It's a beautiful sight to see. Collei runs up to me and says: "Master Tighnari! Doesn't it look pretty?" 'Yes Collei, it is very pretty and since it's night the view is even more pretty.' I reply. Collei opens her mouth but closes it again. 'Collei? Do you want to say something?' I ask. Collei nervously asks: "I-Is Cyno also coming for Christmas? I bet he would also love the view." Collei looks at me waiting for my answer. I reply with: "Cyno.. Cyno may not be able to get back before Christmas. But he promised he will be there at New Year's."

... It stayed quiet.

I break the silence with: "Collei... I also wished that Cyno would come for Christmas but, he can't go without finishing his mission. He wrote to me that he will try his best to be here." 'Stupid missions. Why do they always give him the most difficult ones where he needs to be away for at least 2 months! Because of that stupid mission he will break his promise!' Collei said with frustration. I pat on her head and say: "He is the General Mahamatra. The General always gets the difficult missions. But no matter what happens the General Mahamatra doesn't break promises." Collei looks a bit more relieved after hearing what I say but, still has a worried face. I pull her in for a hug hoping this will relieve her worries... And also mine.

I instruct the Forest Watchers on how to use the snow machine. We all woke up early so we could give the kids a 'white' Christmas. 'Everyone ready?' I ask. Some of them nod and others give a thumbs up. I turn on the electricity and the machines are starting.

The 'snow' looks astonishing. Some of the Forest Watchers are already playing in the snow. Throwing snowballs to each other. While others were trying to cover up the wires of the machines. I hear a voice saying: "Master Tighnari, where are you?" It's Collei. I reply with: "Collei! Here on the left!" Collei looks left and runs to me. 'Master Tighnari this is so pretty!' I see her eyes are filled with joy. 'You can play if you want.' I say. 'Alright then! Come Master Tighnari!' Collei says and grabs my hand letting us run into the snowball fight.

Collei creates a snowball and throws it to someone. Right into their face. Collei laughs but gets her payback by also getting a snowball in her face. Now I need to laugh. Collei creates a snowball and throws it so me. Hitting my ears. 'Collei!' I say. I guess I need to clean my ears after this. But that thought disappears soon enough when some Forest Watchers are waving to me to join the fight. A smile grows on my face as I create a snowball and join the fight.

While I draw a smile on the snowman with some stones. The kids wake up and are seeing a white view. They run in the snow and start playing around. 'Mr. Tighnari! Your snowman looks so cool!' A kid says. I turn around to face the kid and I say: "It's just a normal snowman nothing too special." The kid looks at my ears and say: "Mr. Tighnari, why are your ears covered with snow? Did you fall asleep when it was snowing?" I laugh and say: "No we just did a snowball fight that is why. But go enjoy playing in the snow. You can't get this everyday you know." The kid nods and joins the other kids.

'Sleep well Collei.' I say after brining her back to her hut. 'Master Tighnari, this was an amazing day. Playing in the snow all day, eating with each other and giving gifts but I still miss something. ...Actually someone.' Collei says.

...

Cyno. Christmas is almost over and he hasn't come back. But there is still time for him to come. I look at Collei and say: "Christmas isn't over yet so he might still be here. And if he is then you will see him tomorrow okay?" Collei nods and says: "Alright then. Sleep well Master Tighnari."

I close the door of my hut and lay on my bed. This was a great day but also a tiring one. I look at my clock and see it's 1 hour before midnight. Cyno doesn't break promises. He will come I'm sure of it. But my tiredness takes over me and I fall asleep.

*thud* Hm? Who is that? I slowly open my eyes and I look right into Cyno eyes. 'It's late go back to sleep, darling.' Cyno says. I look sideways to my clock and I see it's 10 minutes before midnight. I give him a little smile and say: "You really don't break a promise do you?" Cyno smiles at me and says: "Of course not." I move myself to the wall side of the bed and pull Cyno to me so we can sleep together. I put my head into his chest while he is hugging me and gives me a kiss on my head. 'Merry Christmas Tighnari.' Cyno says. I reply with: "Merry Christmas Cyno."
