Tighnari POV

I'm never impatient but today it seems like that I just don't have it at all. Tomorrow is Cyno's birthday and I'm planning to visit him since he is so busy with work. I bought a present for him but where is it?? They already delayed it with 2 days and I need to go soon because otherwise my schedule will be ruined. I can't walk at day in the desert I will die of that heat. I already feel the warm breeze of the desert in my face. Yesterday I arrived at Aaru Village with already the last strength I had. A nice woman named Candace suggested to me to wear some desert typed clothes but I refused. Cyno looks good with those clothes but no way that I would wear that. I hear someone running towards me and I turn around. A person arrives with signs of being part cat part human like me. 'Hello! My name is Kirara and I'm here to deliver your package! My apologies for delaying your package I hope it didn't caused to much trouble.' Kirara said. 'You're luck that you're just in time. I was about to leave soon.' I responded. 'I never ask personal questions to my customers but my guess is that this must be a special gift for someone? Based on your clothing you probably come form the rainforest of Sumeru.' Kirara asked. 'You quite the smart one. You're indeed correct. If you don't mind I will leave now otherwise I will be late. ' I respond. 'That is completely fine! Thank you for choosing us and hope to see you next time!' Kirara said.

Aaahh... It's so warm.. A mistflower would melt in this heat! Wait no a mistflower actually can't melt in this heat.. My mind is all fuzzy when do I arrive at Cyno's location? 'Hey you there.' A voice says. I turn around and see a group of emirates coming towards me. 'So, so who is this little pet?' One of them says. 'I'm not someone's pet.' I speak brave. I can't fight against them! They are with so much and I'm alone besides I don't even have energy for this. But I have to get to Cyno. I slowly pick up my bow and say: "Come and fight then." The emirates run towards me and I throw one of my potions to them to make them confused of their position. I quickly pull multiple arrows after each other dealing damage to them. Shit the potion run out and now they can see where they are. They run towards me and I use my last resort. I prepare myself for a big shot and quickly send multiple arrows to them most of them are hurt now. Without realizing one of them came behind me and grabs me. 'LET ME GO!' I scream. I try to get out of his grip but he is too strong. 'Well.. well.. let's bring this naughty one to our base.' What I think their leader said. 'NO! LET ME GO!' I scream again. Nonononono I-I can't let this happen. Not again... I will never let someone take me again and control me never. Never. The flashbacks of Snezhnaya pass through my mind giving me fear. I can't let fear take over me I can't let someone take me again from my loved ones. I hit the man that captured me in his nuts and he lets go. I fall on the ground and quickly stand up and run away. I hear them screaming: "QUICK GRAB THAT THING." I run and run but I know that I will never run them out. Not looking clearly in front of me and I trip over a stone. I try to stand up again but I sprained my ankle. I see them coming towards me thinking it really will be my end again. But then someone shows up and takes all of them out. The sand is going everywhere and can't see who is the one that is fighting for me. I cover my eyes so I don't get anything in my eyes. Then I hear a familiar voice next to me: "Tighnari.. what are you doing here? Are you alright?" 'C-Cyno? Oh archons I finally found you. I.. I wanted to surprise you for your birthday but I came across some emirates that wanted to take me to away. But through my escape I tripped and I think I sprained my ankle.' I reply. 'Darling.. You don't need to come to my birthday all the way you know. Well since you're here now I will carry you to my current base.' Cyno says and picks me up bridal style. 'C-Cyno I don't need to carry me bridal style you know I still can walk a bit on my own.' I say. 'Tighnari, don't worry I can handle it. Take a rest it will take some time to arrive.' Cyno says. I sigh and put my head on his shoulder. Feeling his aura and warmth makes me feel comfortable and safe. I want to stay awake but my eyes slowly close while seeing the endless desert thinking if it ever has an end.

Cyno POV

Why did Tighnari search for me in the desert? Did something happened in the rainforest? Did something happened to Collei? I suppose I need to wait until he wakes up. He looked so adorable when he was sleeping while I was carrying him. We arrived at my current base and placed him on my bed. Now it's waiting until he wakes up, he must be dehydrated from that trip.

I wake up and look at the time and see it's almost midnight... I must have fall asleep. My birthday is over a few minutes. It just will be another simple day working. I wished that I could go back and celebrate it with Tighnari and Collei.. I look at my bed and.. Where did Tighnari go? 'Tighnari?' I say. I want to look around so search for him but I feel a hand covering my eyes. 'Stay still okay don't open your eyes yet?' I hear Tighnari say. He walks away searching for something I think. I keep my closed and then I hear him say: "Open your eyes." I open my eyes and see my favourite dish with some candles. 'I know you like to keep it simple so I made you favourite dish to be your birthday cake.' Tighnari says. He continues with: "Well it's past midnight now so it's your birthday! Happy birthday Cyno. Blow the candles!" I look at him thinking about that no one ever did this to me for anything. I blow the candles and put the dish away and give him a kiss on the cheek. 'Don't think this is everything I have for you.' Tighnari says and gives me a package. I open up the package and I can't believe my eyes. It's a limited TCG card. 'Tighnari where did you find this?! It's almost impossible to get this card!' I say. Tighnari looks at me with a smirk saying: "I have my contacts." 'Thank you Tighnari.' I say and give him a kiss. 'Oh oh the best is yet to come darling. Close your eyes for me again' Tighnari says.

'You can open your eyes again Cyno.' Tighnari says. I open up my eyes and I can't believe my eyes. Is he wearing a desert outfit. He literally swear to the archons that he would never wear one. I begged him to wear it but he always refused but now he is wearing one. I see that he is starting to be a little shy. I walk up to him putting my finger under his chin and raises his face to mine and I say: "Don't tell me you're going to become shy after putting on this outfit." Tighnari begin to blush more but then pushes me on the bed. Then he sits on me and says:

"Darling I'm all yours tonight~"
