(XIAO ZHAN'S POINT OF VIEW)
It was the third day of being back in the place I once called home and there I was in the garden, allowing the crown Prince to give me an excursion. Stopping at the sight of a rose, I admired it.
"I see the smallest things still captivate you," Prince Haikuan let out as he stood beside me, holding his hands behind him and holding his shoulders high like a true Alpha, typical Alpha. "Though a lot has changed about you, Xiao Zhan,"
"I don't think so, like you said, the smallest things still excite me and I'm still the same shameless Omega who would go any length to get what he wants," I retorted and he was right, a lot had indeed changed about me, I wasn't the same omega I was ten years ago. "Tell me about yourself other than the fact that you are now the crown Prince,"
Haikuan cackled. "Believe me, there's nothing about me worth talking about, nothing has changed,"
"Are you still a bookworm, are you still the little boy who hides behind his father's leg amid strangers, are you still the kid who would give up his toy just so the other kid wouldn't cry?"
"He grows up," He looked at me meaningfully. "You did too,"
I nodded. "We all did but I'm still the boy that would tug your precious toy and watch you shriek with ecstasy," I paused as Commands Wang approached, saluting before the Prince while ignoring my presence. I smirked beneath my veil. I had always loved a good relay.
"The king requests your presence immediately," He notified and the Prince was shortly looking back at me, however, I cut him off before he could lament.
"You don't have to apologize your highness. I understand, perhaps, Commander Wang could take your place," I uttered with a smile even though they couldn't see it through the veil. The Commander looked at me with a firm jaw, obviously wasn't foreseeing my injunction.
"Yes, that would be much better. Wang Yibo, I hope you don't mind," Haikuan placed a hand on Wang Yibo's shoulder who didn't balk to nod at the prince's words. He looked at me and sported a vast smile. "I will see you soon," He ducked his head slightly before walking away from me.
I got closer to the Commander's space, getting a sniff of his manly and coaxing scent before he swiftly moved away from me. "Do you have a betrothed, perhaps a mate, Commander Wang?" I catechized, holding my hands in front of me and peering at him excitedly.
"Should we continue the tour or you would like to return to your chambers," Came his sharp tone, I pouted beneath my veil and enclosed the little space between us while keeping our bodies from touching. He looked back at me with a skeptical gaze.
"I like you Commander Wang, so do you have someone I should be aware of. If it means having you to myself, I will love a competitor," I blunted and saw his eyes twitch before he was moving backward, putting a large amount of space between us. I smiled while he scowled at me.
"I believe you no longer need a tour, I will be on my way," He bowed at me and turned to leave.
"Are you not going to accompany me back to my chambers..." I mumbled and he paused at his feet. I beamed and walked over, standing at his back and I fought the urge to wrap my arms around his middle. I inhaled more of his addicting scent, he smelled so good and I needed more, "Alpha," I purred before I could stop the word from falling out my lips and his shoulders tensed up and without saying a word, he walked away.
Seemed like I didn't have a competition, disappointing but even better.

I watched the Emperor shut his eyes at the sound of my music, watching him bask in it while my hands worked on the strings of the Zither, only if I was having a good time as he was.
Soon enough, the doors of the throne room opened and Commander Wang walked in with a guard, I paused on the strings and watched him move steadily while holding his sword at his side, cold and frosty, just my kind of Alpha.
The emperor motioned his hand for the guard to get closer and he did, moving to the ruler's ear to whisper the words that had me freezing as the wind brought them to my earring.
The captives!
"Where are they?" The emperor questioned, excitement in his tone which brought a heat of fury inside of me.
"In the dungeons, your majesty," The guard answered and the Emperor was up from his throne and hastily followed the guard out from the main hall.
Tightly, I gripped the edge of the Zither unable to hold the anger boiling inside of me. And just then, my gaze immediately locked with Commander Wang's and I realized he hadn't left. Instantly, I let go of the Zither and stood to my feet. I felt my anger melting with his eyes on me, even though they were filled with suspicion and distrust. I slowly approached him in the middle of the room.
"Tell me Commander Wang, Who are the Captives?" I nourished his skepticism. That would give him something to think about. At least that would have me on his mind.
"Why do you want to know?" He questioned blankly, eyeing me under his long eyelashes, waiting for the words that would give me away.
"Just now, the guard had mentioned it to the Emperor and curiosity kills the cat,"
The suspicious smog in his eyes did not clear. "That is none of your concern and never mention that word in front of the Emperor," And then he was leaving while I stared at his broad back.
My jaw locked and my eyes darkened. "Do you know about this, Commander Wang? I hope you don't,"
