"Wow, you're a seriously loyal piece of outwear, aren't you?"
"Yeah, uh, speaking of loyalty..." Peter starts as he and Satine drop to their feet in front of him and he turns with already angry, wide eyes.
"What the..."
"I know what you're gonna say." He puts his hands up.
"You should not be here." He points.
"We were gonna go home..." He nods.
"I don't wanna hear it." He shakes his head and hands.
"But it was such a long way down and I just thought about you on the way..."
"And now I gotta hear it." He nods with his hands up.
"...and kinda stuck to the side of the ship. And this suit is...ridiculously intuitive, by the way."
"God damn it." He whispers and Satine sighs with worried brows.
"So, if anything, it's kinda your fault that I'm here." He nods and they both look at him with wide eyes.
"What did you just say?" He points as Satine wacks him on the arm.
"I take that back." He stutters with his hand up. "And now, we're here in space."
"Yeah." He moves closer. "Right where I didn't want you to be. This isn't coney island." He shakes his head just above a whisper. "This isn't a field trip. This is a one-way ticket."
"If you knew that then why did you get on?" Satine interrupts with tears in her eyes and they both look at her. "You knew that and you still came up here. What, were you just going to leave us and not come back?" She throws her arms.
"No." He shakes his head with a sigh and starts walking towards her.
"But, you knew." She cries lightly. "You knew and you left anyway." She states and he goes to reach for her, but she backs up and he furrows his brows. "Don't." She shakes her head. "How is he supposed to be a friendly neighborhood Spiderman if there's no neighborhood for him to protect?" She points to Peter. "How are any of us supposed to be heroes if there's nobody left for us to save?"
"Satine, please?" He gently grabs her arms.
"We came here to help." She states and he nods while pulling her closer. "We just want to help."
"Okay." He pulls her into a hug with his hand on her head. "Alright, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you." He sighs. "We got a situation now." He pats her back as she lets go of him and Peter comes to her with his arm over her shoulders. "Come on." He leads them to an edge for them to look over and see Strange and Squidward. "See him down there?" He points. "He's in trouble. What's your plan? Go."
"Um..." Peter looks around. "Okay, okay, uh... Okay." He turns to him. "Did you ever see this really old movie, Aliens?"
-
"Could end your friends life in an instant." Squidward states as Tony faces his palms at him.
"I gotta tell you, he's not really my friend. Saving his life is more of a professional courtesy."
"You saved nothing." He shakes his head as he pulls out two large parts of the ship as a threat. "Your powers are inconsequential compared to mine."
"Yeah, but the kid's seen more movies."
A tiny rocket comes out of his shoulder and shoots a hole directly out of the side of the ship, sending Squidward and his threats into space to freeze and die, almost pulling Strange with him. The cloak grabs him before he can reach the hole, but the hold loosens and Spider catches him instead. He grabs a hold of something before that breaks and he's almost sent into space as well before spider legs come out of his suit, stopping him from dieing.
"Yes!" He chuckles. "Wait, what're those?!"
The legs push off the wall and Spider and Strange are thrusted back into the ship before Tony sprays something on the hole to close it for good. Strange lands hard on the floor and Spider sticks it like usual.
"Hey, we haven't officially met." He sticks his hand out to the cloak and Satine chuckles as it flies away. "Cool." He turns away with his hand down.
"We gotta turn the ship around." Strange stands and the cloak takes it's place on his shoulders.
"Yeah." Tony scoffs. "Now he wants to run. Great plan."
"No, I want to protect the stone." He follows him as he goes to the controls.
"And I want you to thank me. Now, go ahead. I'm listening."
"For what? Nearly blasting me into space?"
"Who just saved your magical ass? Me." He points to his chest.
"Peter." Satine whispers and he slowly smiles next to her.
"I seriously don't know how you fit your head into that helmet." Strange shakes his head.
"Admit it, you should've ducked out when I told you to." He turns away. "I tried to bench you. You refused."
"Unlike everyone else, I don't work for you." He shakes his head.
"They're like the same person." She whispers and Peter shakes his head while holding in a laugh.
"And due to that fact, we're now in a flying doughnut, billions of miles from Earth with no backup."
"We're backup." Peter raises his hand.
"No, you're stowaways." He waves him off before pointing between the two. "The adults are talking." He states and Satine rolls her eyes.
"I'm sorry, I'm confused as to the relationship here." Strange shakes his head. "What are they, your wards?" He furrows his brows.
"No." Peter denies. "I'm Peter, by the way." He sticks his hand out.
"Satine." She nods.
"Doctor Strange." He nods.
"Oh, you're using our made up names." Peter takes his hand down. "Um... I'm Spiderman, then."
"Lovebite." She states and he walks away.
"This ship is self-correcting its course." Tony brings them back to the top at hand. "Thing's on autopilot."
"Can we control it?" Strange asks. "Fly us home?" He continues and he stays quiet for a second. "Stark."
"Yeah." He turns to him with raised brows.
"Can you get us home?" He asks firmer.
"Yeah, I heard you." He pulls his hands together in front of him. "I'm thinking, I'm not so sure we should."
"What?" Satine sticks her neck forward and Peter takes her hand.
"Under no circumstances can we bring the Time Stone to Thanos." Strange states while moving closer. "I don't think you quite understand what's at stake here."
"What? No." He walks towards him. "It's you who doesn't understand that Thanos has been inside my head for six years. Since he sent an army to New York and now he's back. And I don't know what to do." He points to his chest. "So I'm not so sure if it's a better plan to fight him on our turf or his, but you saw what they did, what they can do." He points. "At least on his turf, he's not expecting it. So, I say we take the fight to him. Doctor. Do you concur?"
"... All right, Stark." He nods a bit. "We go to him. But you have to understand...if it comes to saving you or those kids or the Time Stone..." He starts just above a whisper. "I will not hesitate to let any of you die. I can't, because the universe depends on it."
"Nice." He nods. "Good, moral compass." He pats his arm. "We're straight." He walks away with a sigh. "All right, kids." He puts his hands to their shoulder and goes over their heads to pat the other one, one at a time. "You're Avengers now."
He walks away and the two looks at each other with slightly wide eyes before nodding with small smiles and turning back to him.
