Keith POV
"Watch where you're going, jackass."I glanced up. He had bright orange, poofy hair. He wore a green sweater, and baggy cargo pants. He had white eyes. White eyes? Very unusual, but pretty. What—fuck! Did I just call this bastard pretty?
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-" I began, my voice shaking. "Save it." He said, cutting me off. I didn't know what to say to that. I stayed silent. My throat felt tight. I tried clearing it, but that didn't help.
He let out a sigh before lending his hand out to me. "Get up." I glanced up at him before grabbing a hold of his hand, allowing me to stand up.
I noticed our height difference. Damn, next to him I feel like a full on child.
I shook it off.
He was about to walk away, until, without thinking, I reached for his shoulder. He stopped, turning around to look at me. "I'm sorry, but, can you help me by any chance?" I asked.
His expression turned into a slightly confused one. "With what?"
"With where I need to be. My schedule." I quickly added. After a short pause, he nodded. "Fine."
I remembered I had a piece of paper with my whole schedule on it. I took my backpack off, holding it against my waist and unzipping it. I pulled out the folded paper. I opened it, studying it. He snatched it out of my hand.
He removed his eyes off of the paper, glancing up at a nearby clock. "Yeah. You should be here by now." He said, pointing at words on the paper. I read it. One of my classes, English.
I internally nodded."Can—can you tell me how I get there? Please?" By the look on his face, it said no. But he nodded. "Follow me." He turned around and began to walk. I quickly zipped my backpack back up, throwing the straps over my shoulders and following behind him.
I walked up besides him, deciding to start a conversation. "So, what's your name? I never asked." I said.
"Pico." He responded, no emotion whatsoever.
"I'm Keith." I smiled. He glanced down at me. I blinked. His stare was blank. It felt awkward.
He eventually looked away. I scratched my neck, glancing around.
We stopped at a door. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder, walking me closer to it. "Here we are." He said, roughly patting me on the back. "You need anything else sweetheart, or can I go about my day?"
I glared at him. I didn't bother saying anything, as it seemed I was unwanted.
"Good." He said. With that, he walked away. How rude.
I sighed before opening the door slowly. I was greeted by a bunch of eyes. "Ah, hello." The professor said. He glanced at a piece of paper, then back at me. "Keith."
I smiled. "Good morning." He pointed to an empty desk in the back of the class. "Please take a seat right there." I nodded and walked over to it. I felt as if I was suffocating in too much staring eyes.
Finally, I reached my desk. I set my backpack down on the floor, sitting down in the chair. The teacher cleared his throat, then went back to teaching.
I glanced to my side, noticing another empty desk next to me. I wonder who sits there? Eh. I turned my attention back to the lesson.
