Harry woke to an empty bed, the sheets next to him cold. With his sleep addled mind he was slow to realize that something was missing. He stretched out his arm and frowned when he realized what-or rather who he was missing, Draco wasn't next to him. He sat up quickly and casted a quick tempus, it was 10 AM. He sighed and stretched as he told himself Draco must have gotten hungry and left to go eat. He grabbed a change of clothes and pulled them on.
He snapped his fingers and with a soft pop a house elf stood before him."What can Mipsy be doing for Master Harry Potter?" The elf inquired. "Could you show me down to breakfast? I'm afraid it's a bit late and I have no clue where I'm headed." He answered, smiling.
"Mipsy be showing Master Harry Potter where breakfast is being." She said while she began to walk out of the room. He followed, paying attention to the many turns they took so he would remember where the dining room was. The house elf sropped in front of an open door that led into a large dining room. The walls were soft cream and the floor was of pale wood.An ornate chandelier hung from the ceiling and under it sat a deep mahogany dining table that could easiily fit atleast fifteen people. At the head of the table sat Lucius, his dress was less extravagant now that he was home, he wore black dress pants, a light blue button up shirt, and black dress shoes. Draco sat on his right, his clothes almost the same other than the fact his dress shirt was charcoal. Harry smiled when he saw Severus, the man insisted upon wearing black at all times and therefore his shirt was black silk. Remus and Sirius sat next to Severus, Remus's shirt a gryffindor red and Sirius's Slytherin green.
Draco looked up when he saw his mate, a smile spreading across his face. He patted the chair next to him and Harry gladly took it. Draco wrapped his arm around Harry's waist and continued to finish his food. They ate in silence, Draco running his thumb up and down Harry's side.
Afterwards they moved to the sitting room and lounged around. "Harry, I believe you and I should go Christmas shopping tomorrow." Remus stated as he flipped the page in his book and made brief eye contact. "Sure, I can pick out presents for everyone and have enough time to possibly special order some things." Remus smiled and nodded.
Once they had made their plans, Remus, Harry, and Severus were going shopping tomorrow while Lucius, Draco, and Sirius would shop the day after, they went their seperate ways. Draco pulled Harry along to the library, wanting to teach him the basics of potions.
The library took a few minutes to get to since it was built rather far away from the dining room. When they entered Draco headed straight for the shelves, pulling out book after book. The blond disappeared within the shelves so Harry sat down at the table to wait. When Draco finally emerged he was holding a ridiculously large stack of books.
"Time to get started." He declared cheerfully, which caused Harry to groan internally. Today would be a long day.
Draco covered everything imaginable, from the proper way to cut a bat's spleen to how one properly harvests a bezoar. by the time they were done the sun was setting. Mipsy popped in, alerting them that dinner was ready and was being served in the dining room. When they arrived the others were already seated. There was roast duck, mashed potatoes, corn, squash, salad, and cod. Draco dished out food for the both of them and then pulled Harry onto his lap. "Draco, I can eat by myself I don't need you to baby me." Harry grumbled as he tried to wiggle free of Draco's arm that was looped around him.
"I know you can, but I want to take care of you." He said softly. Harry contemplated moving but finally decided to stay put when Draco promised not to feed him. They ate from the same plate and Draco's arm pulled him against Draco's chest. Harry was finished before anyone else but remained seated in Draco's lap. He began to nod off, a small smike gracing his face when he thought of how fun Christmas will be.
