Chapter 1
Harry was once again standing on platform 9 3/4 making his way to the train. When he had bought new supplies for school he had also bought new clothes that fit better than Dudley's old ones. He was wearing black dress pants with an emerald green dress shirt and a pair of black dress shoes. His body was rather frail looking now so he would have to resize his clothing once he put on some weight at Hogwarts. He checked to make sure that the glamour hiding his cuts and bruises were in place, he could not afford for people to notice them or else it would instantly be in the papers and Merlin knows that he hates attention.
"Harry don't just stand there come on, we have to get on the train!" Ron yelled from across the station.
"Alright Ron, I'll be there in a second! " Harry yelled back before forcing a smile onto his face and following his best friends on to the train.
Ron chose the first empty compartment he could find and they all sat down, Ron and Hermione were practically sitting on each other while Harry sat across from them. Ron gave him a large smile and looked at Hermione. Harry knew that they had grown closer over the summer, a lot closer.
"What did you do this summer Harry? Me and 'Mione spent all of our time at home. " Ron stated.
Harry had the feeling the other boy didn't really care what he did that summer and Harry did not feel the need to tell Ron about what really happened. "It was alright, sat around and helped with chores. I'm happy for you two." he replied.
Hermione blushed and Ron smiled even wider. Harry looked out the window and ignored the rest of their conversation, hoping that this year would be better than the last one. Before he realized it he fell asleep with his head resting against the window.
He was woke by a shove from Ron who told him they had arrived. Almost everyone had already left the train so the trio followed suit. The doors to the castle had been opened before they arrived and the students had already begun to sit at there respective tables. Harry tuned out the sorting and Dumbledore's usual welcome speech. His friends were arguing again because Ron had called Snape a "greasy git " and then proceeded to wolf down his food with the same amount of grace as Dudley. He remembered he should probably try and eat something so his body would start to heal and get used to eating a normal amount of food. He took a sip of his pumpkin juice and then added Ham, mashed potatoes, and corn to his plate.
"Hey mate, did ya get your summer work done?" Ron asked.
"No, I didn't really feel like doing it." Harry lied and forced a smile at Ron.
"Honestly, you two should not be ignoring your work like this, just think of how much it could effect your grades." Hermione chided them.
"but 'Mione, they give us to much bloody work as it is!" Ron declared around a mouthful of food.
"Ronald, how many times do I have to remind you to use your manners when you eat?"
"You tell me every time I eat 'Mione, and to be bloody honest I can't find a reason why to use them."
She glared and scolded him for his foul language. Harry looked at his plate and felt slightly accomplished at eating half of his food. He looked at his friends and gave them a small smile.
"I think I'm going to go work on my essays, see ya back at the tower." Harry left and didn't wait to here there replies. He headed straight to Gryffindor tower and began working on his potions essay because he knew that he would put it off if he didn't do it now.
Draco
Blaise, Theo, Pansy, and Draco sat together through out the welcoming feast, keeping there masks firm and giving a few replies about what they had over the summer. Draco had told Pansy, Theo, and Blaise about his inheritance and he was worried about which house his mate would be in, he had already checked all of his housemates, he hoped with every fiber of his being that his mate was not in Gryffindor or worse, the golden trio.
He had the urge to vomit even thinking about being mated with Weasel or the Mudblood. He refused to even think of Potter being his mate but he had to say the golden boy did not look to bad, maybe to skinny and a little on the pale side but his eyes were a captivating green and his hair was beautiful with it's cute little messy style. Draco nearly slapped himself when he realised what he had been thinking, there was no way in hell that Harry was his mate. Right?
