-TATU >

"Listen Xavier, mom and dad plan on killing that child, as soon as they land next week."

Did. . . I hear her correctly?

I didn't right?

I look up and see my father's shoulders tense. "Neonata, go outside. Ares is out there. I'll call you tomorrow." My heart's in my throat. I'm still standing in place. It's like I don't understand English anymore.

"Tatuyanna." He grits, looking down at me angrily. His eyes were as dark as a murderer's. "Go." I grab onto his arm. "I don't—I don't want to go. I–I want to stay with you." I say desperately holding onto his arm. I only started to feel comfortable around him, and he pulls this?

Xavier literally wrenches his arm out of my grasp, sending me flying into a chest. I wasn't focused on the sudden arm around my waist. I was more focused on the betrayal I felt from my own father. He looked furious. Never have I seen such a look on his face. "Take her, Ares." I wasn't going to move from this spot.

That was until I was thrown over a shoulder. I propped my arms on top of Ares' shoulders, never looking away from him.

"Protect her with your life," Xavier says, not ever meeting my gaze until the last moment when I was getting carried away, out of the modern mansion and into a familiar black-themed Porsche.

He drove me somewhere. A tall building.

It was heavily grand. He pulled me out of the car and took us inside. An old man greeted Ares while we were walking. He looked at me and narrowed his gaze. "Poio einai to koritsi?"

Something lits into the man's gaze, his lips parting. "Mi mou peis. . ."

[Who's the girl?]

[Don't tell me. . .]

"O erastis mou." Ares puts an arm around my shoulder.

[My lover]

I'll just pretend I understand what they're saying. His rings come into view along with his Rolex. This kid wears the most expensive things. Where does he get the money?

"A katalava."

[Oh I see.]

The man murmurs.

What the hell are they talking about? What language is this anyway?

The man continues to walk past us, and Ares leads me to an elevator. "What were you both talking about?" I ask, leaning against the elevator's wall. "He almost found out your relation to the Torronos. You're existence is spreading like wildfire. So I covered it up by saying you were my lover."

I glare at him. "You're stupid."

"And you're fifteen."

I rub my eyes as I felt the exhaustion hitting me. "What about my relation to them?" I face him next to me.

He gives me a pointed gaze. "You did hear the fact that your grandparents are out to kill you right? It's not exactly a secret in the streets."

I sigh, dropping my head and allowing strands of curly hair to fall over my face. "I thought I imagined it."

He shakes his head, a look of disappointment in his emerald green eyes, as he leads me into a. . .

Penthouse?

No way.

The area was also themed dark. It was huge! "You live here?" I ask. "Are your parents home?" I'm automatically drawn toward the floor-to-ceiling view of the city.
