The group introduced me to a friend of theirs after a short while, someone who hadn't shown their face but was still so close to the group, usually communicating through rotom phone call.
The times I'd met her, she was super nice. Often the group called her Cassieopeia, or Cas.
I smiled to myself as I thought about my friends, walking down the hall to my next class. Vulpix slept in my arms, peacefully.
"Hey you." I was stopped by a hand on my shoulder. I turned to see a student I hadn't met before. "You're that kid who hangs out with those weirdos, from alola right?" He asked.
"Don't call my friends weirdos!" I frowned. "Whatever, you shouldn't be hanging out with them, they're bad news." The boy said before walking off, leaving me and vulpix.
Bad news?
I doubted his words, scoffing.
"What a strange student." I huff, before continuing to my next class.

"Hey guys! We made some sandwiches in home ec to study recipes, but I've got extra." I smiled as I walked to the table. "Here." Placing the plate down, we all began chatting.
About anything, really.
Our favorite Pokémon types was a fun topic.
"Dark types are obviously the best." Giacomo stated. "No, fighting types are stronger!" Eri argued. "Yeah, well fairy beats fighting and dark!" Ortega defended. "Poison beats fairy." Atticus grinned, mela just looked amused.
"Y/n, what's the best type?" Their gazes locked on me, where I was sat playing with vulpix. "Ice." I grinned, laughing at their groans.
"No, of the types we're talking about." Eri explained. I thought for a moment, before shrugging. "I haven't had any Pokémon besides vulpix and rockruff, so I don't know." I shrug.
"How's about coming with us on a weekend hangout? We can show you our teams and why dark is OBVIOUSLY the best type." Giacomo offered.
My smile became crestfallen.
"I wish I could, my family is pretty protective though, they'd panic and come hunting me down." I sighed. A hand was placed on my shoulder, it was mela.
"Hey, maybe next time we'll sneak ya out without your folks knowing." She smiled. "Besides, fire is the best type."
"IS NOT!"
