After the battle that occurd with Tartaglia Xiao got the traveler to Wangshu Inn to where he takes Aether to his own room by carrying him bridalstyle. Paimon followed stressing out, crying that the traveler got hurt so badly so she quickly followed them into the room. Xiao swiftly lays Aether on the bed taking his own mask of since he does not need it anymore so he lays it on the bed so he can start working on cleaning the wounds. Paimon watches as Aether is passed out on the bed before she looks at Xiao with tears streaming down her face "will je be alright?! Please tell me you can help!"

"I can help...just do not distract me" Xiao spoke monotone...sounding very serious as he first starts with stitching Aether his calf up trying to focus but Paimon his crying and trying to wake Aether up was not really helping "let him rest...he needs it before he i speak to him"

Paimon looks concerned at Xiao holding onto the blonde his hand gently while sitting on the bed "why would he need rest when he will talk to you?" She sniffles trying not to cry anymore.

"Because i will speak to him harshly since he did not listen to me. You...did not listen to me." Xiao looks up gving Paimon a sharp glare.

The small being swallows thickly looking away when Xiao looked at her like that. "How could i have known-..."

Xiao glares at her a moment longer before he wraps the bandage around Aether his calf moving to his arm now cleaning up the wound before he starts to stitch that one up "at any sign of danger you should have told him to leave. Pulled on his arm to leave. Remain in place so he would not leave you alone."

"I did!" Paimon pouts since she truely did all of those things "he would not listen and Paimon is scared of the dark! I dont want to be left alone in the dark."

"So he did not listen to you?..."

"No-..."

Xiao sighs deeply, frustrated and wraps a bandage around Aether his bicep once he was done he looks at the other his face as Xiao seems...worried and angry all at once. "Leave us"

"But-..."

"Leave" Xiao spoke watch Paimon her expression sadden but she did as told not wanting to make Xiao more mad. The man lets out a deep sigh and looks back at Aether who is still unconscious gently placing his hand onto his cheek to gently carress it "fool..."he spoke beneath his breath before he takes the wash cloth again as starts to wash the traveler his face so the blood would come of as he tries to get it out of his hair aswell and even though he got most of it out it still stained part of the hair. The man turns to the bowl of water seeing how red it is from the blood, seeing his own clothes is covered in the traveler his blood it made him think he killed him. It made him think he wounded him. Thoughts run trough Xiao his head he cannot shake and right as he was done washing his own hands and trying them of he hears the man behind him shift a little which makes him freeze for a moment.

Aether turns his head to look at Xiao before he finally opens his eyes and looks at the other. "Xiao?..." Aether calls out to the other wanting to sit up so he can see where he is.

Xiao sets the towel down on the sidetable before he turns to the blonde pushing him back down with his hand on his chest "did you hear what i say?" He asks and he watches Aether think before finally nodding to confirm he heard Xiao call him a fool. "Good. Because you are."

Aether opens his eyes more his vision becoming more clear as his eyes adjust to the seroundings "where-...is Paimon?"

Xiao raised a brow seeming displeased. Crossing his arms he glares at Aether to let him know he is not pleased with him "she is safe-...you on the other hand...getting yourself wounded like that. You came to me after you fell of that cliff for me to help you, to keep you safe. You promised me you and Paimon would avoid that Harbinger scum at all cost! I told you if the situation would be dire you would call out my name. Why didn't you? Why should i accually care for you when you cannot keep your promises."
