"How's your friend?"
Taehyung asks as he cradles Tarrant in his arms. He's holding him like a baby and he's actually fallen asleep.
"Uhm, fine. I assume."
"What do you mean 'you assume'? You talk to him like every day."
"Mm." I pick up my phone and look at it. It's already in Sebastian and my text thread.
He's been really busy the last couple of days, I assume. He's told me that he's been busy with projects and that he's just been really tired. I can't blame him for wanting to sleep.
"Yeah. We talk." I tell Tae. "He's just been busy so it's been kind of limited lately."
"Limited how? I thought he called you every night."
"Did you miss the part where I said he was busy?"
"Whoa. Don't snap at me. I was just asking a question. Making an observation. Don't bite my head off." He scowls at me.
"Well, mind your business then." I toss a pillow at him.
"Okay. Touchy subject. Got it."
"It's not touchy."
"You just threw a pillow at me."
"Because you don't know how to mind your business."
"Me?" Taehyung points to himself. "I'm like the king of minding my business. What are you even talking about?"
I sigh and hold my arms out for Tarrant. "Give me my baby."
"No." He holds him away from me.
"Taaeee."
"Stop being mean to me. Apologize."
"For what?"
"Being mean to me. I just said that."
I roll my eyes and lay down. He lays down facing me and Tarrant gets up. He stretches out before curling up against my chest. He kneads at my boobs before going back to sleep.
"I wasn't even being mean."
"You are." He deadpans. "All I did was ask about your friend and your whole mood got sour."
I sighs and lay my head on the pillow.
There's nothing significantly upsetting about the subject. I just... don't want to talk about it.
"I feel like I made a mistake." I look at the time on my phone as I talk.
It's ten o'clock. Sebastian should be home by now. He'd have called by now.
"With what?"
"I don't know.... I don't know how to explain it."
"If he's been busy with meetings and things, then that's not your fault. That's out of your control and it's also out of his. It's his work, Lia. I wouldn't take it personal."
"I know. I'm not."
I just feel like I used Sebastian as a distraction for my problems with Namjoon. And not on purpose, I really do like Bash.... Just not romantically. But he feels the same.
I think that if the situation wasn't it was... maybe we could work.
But I really don't know how to feel about that.
My phone vibrates on the bed and he picks it up. His eyebrows raise.
"Yup. Gotta go. That's my cue." He hands it to me and I see Sebastian calling. "I'll be with Janae if you need me. We're going to bake cookies and watch National Geographic videos on YouTube." He hops up and puts his shoes on.
