"What you mean we got a brother we don't know about ?" Solange looked at Sanaa, then at Ferra, Jakaii's mother.
Jakaii scrunched his face up, "Man what the hell."
"I know it's sudden, but we were supposed to talk about it with y'all dad here, but things didn't go as planned." Ferra said.
Solange looked down sadly.
"What's his name ?" Jakaii asked.
"Jakari."
"What ?!" Solange jumped up.
"Momma, y'all are dead wrong. We been around that boy for the longest and neither of us know we siblings." Jakaii said.
"I even met Donae. So that mean she know too ?" Solange asked.
Sanaa nodded, "I gave Jakari to her."
"This is fucked up. This finna send Jakari off the rails, he already feel like Donae keeping something from him." Solange said.
"Momma ? Why I don't remember him ?" Solange asked.
"You were only 4." Sanaa responded.
"I think we should call Donae so they can come here." Ferra said.
"Yea y'all should." Jakaii said with a slight attitude.
Pissed was understatement, all these secrets, Jakaii was pretty sure they were hiding something else too.
About an hour later Donae walked into the house with Jakari or Gee behind her.
"What this is an intervention ?" Jakari laughed.
Jakaii and Solange shared a silent glance.
Donae sat down by Ferra and Sanaa. Jakari sat by Solange and Jakaii.
"Me and Ferra already explained it to Jakaii and Solange, so now i'm gonna explain it to you." Sanaa said.
"Jakari i'm your biological mother." Sanaa said looking at him.
It was dead silent.
Jakari laughed, "Y'all playing me right now."
Realizing the looks he was receiving he looked at Donae.
"Momma ?" His voice cracked.
Donae looked at him sadly.
"You been lying to me. You had me around these people knowing they was my family." He said.
"I tried, but when Jerome died it messed everything up." Donae said.
"You my sister ? And you my brother ?" He looked to Solange and then Jakaii.
They nodded.
Jakari looked to Sanaa, "Why you gave me up ?"
"I had to, Jerome was in some shit once again and it wasn't safe. You were only 3 months, it would be hard to hide out with you." Sanaa explained.
Jakari nodded, "I understand, but I don't appreciate being lied too for this long."
"Neither do we." Solange said.
"You don't have to agree to this Jakari, but I would like to spend some time with you to get to know you better." Sanaa said.
"I can agree to that." Jakari nodded.
"I knew it was a reason I didn't like your ugly ass. You too much like me." Jakaii said looking at Jakari.
"I ain't never been ugly." Jakari said popping his imaginary collar, causing everyone to laugh.
