Chapter 7 - Twisted and Elite

As Sabre and Green approached the two, they both realized that they were arguing. The two stood in silence and listened.

"Stay away from me!" Twisted cried out.

"Twisted? What's wrong with you?"

"He's not with you, is he?! Stay back!"

"Uh, who? Who's with me?"

"Don't joke around with me! I bet after he sent you flying he went back for you! To force you onto his side!"

"Twisted, what's... happened?"

"Ugh! Stay away from me! Don't- don't- just- stay away!"

"I don't understand... what could've happened to you?"

"Me?! Nothing! I'm the same me! What happened to you?!"

"You know, I hated you before, but this? Man, I gotta say, I never thought I would see you... end up like this Twisted. You're- have you taken a look at yourself? We're- supposed to be rivals, right? This is just sad!"

"You listen to me! You think I'm sad?! You think I'm weak?! And who do you think you are, huh?! You're nothing! We're- we're- we're-! We're nothing!"

"You're acting so strange right now! Seriously! I mean, you wanna talk about it?! I knew we're not very close but- WOW."

"TALK about it?! You were there, you saw it!"

"You realized too, then, haven't you?"

"We want... control. He wants... destruction."

"Yeah, thanks a lot for that, by the way."

"Me? You think I'm to blame?! And what's this about you showing him the true evils of darkness?! You're free from this blame?! No! You are the one at fault!"

"I am not to blame in this situation, Twisted! You took him in and tricked him! You told him what he wanted to hear! I told him the truth!"

"Your truth was too much!"

"Your lies weren't enough!"

"You-"

"Quiet! Ugh! You know what, whatever. I don't need any of this from you right now, okay?! I can't waste my time with you! I just had the weirdest experience ever, seeing some Steves! And now I've got to go deal with the situation at hand! You're clearly too far off the deep end to deal with anything! Not like I would want your help anyways. I need to go deal with this myself. I need to go deal with Sabre and fix what he did to me." Elite sighs. "I'm out of here."

"Oh? And what is it you're supposed to do?! What will you do against someone like him?!"

"Yeah, what will you do against me?" Sabre finally said, smiling.

Twisted Rainbow and Elite Dark Guard were shocked. Sabre had clearly heard their entire conversation.

"Well? What will you do?"

"I- I, uh-"

"I knew it. I knew you had no plan. Now..." Sabre held out his hand, and lifted the two off the ground. He brought his hand closer to him, causing the fools to fly toward him. "I know both of you know of Greens existence. But answer this simple question for me... what. Did. You. Do. To. Green?"

Fun fact: the argument that Elite and Twisted had here is exactly the same as the canon one. I rewatched the episode with subtitles on to make it completely accurate!

Writing this is teaching me a lot about writing angst >:)
