~ Elite Dark Guards POV ~
As Elite sprinted through the forest, he arrived at an abandoned and destroyed village. He knew immediately that this is where the core had been, and that this was the Red Steve village he had destroyed. It was clear that Sabre had taken the core, as Elite couldn't sense its energy nearby. He went to check, anyways.
"No... no way... he did...! He took it! I can't believe it... it's actually gone..." he mumbled, staring at the now-empty chamber.
"... Protocol... d-defend- the- defend- system interference... running diagnostics-" said a glitched voice behind him.
"... huh...? Who's there-! ... in this strange... capsule...?"
He turned to look in the direction the voice came from. He continued to hear the glitched voice as he approached.
As Elite inched closer, the source of the voice came out of a small area in the wall.
"Emergency shutdown ini- tiated..." the robotic-looking Steve said in its glitched voice.
"... has someone else come here since..."
The robot began inching out of the small area, causing Elite to step back.
"Diagnostics complete! Contradictions shelved. Memory recovering... loading... loading... incomplete memory files. Commands recovered. Protect the core. C- core- l-l-lost. Must recover core." the robot said, getting close and almost cornering Elite.
"Wait... me?! This is bad! I've gotta get out of here! Gah- I cant- I'm too weak-"
"Intruder! Must annihilate intruder and r-recover core! Activating weapon systems..."
"It wasn't me! I tried to protect the core!"
"Lie detected."
"I'm serious! It was Sabre!"
"My systems do not know of 'Sabre'. Lie detected."
"It can't end here! I've got so much I need to do! Sabre is still out there and- he has the core for whatever reason!"
"Kill mode. Target locked. 3... 2... 1..."
"THIS WAS ALL SO MUCH SIMPLER WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO CLAIM VICTORY OVER TWISTED!"
The robot paused.
"... what happened...?
"System recovery of 'Twisted Rainbow'."
"You know of him?"
"Database files 'Twisted Rainbow' 'The light that never shined'."
"What?"
"My memory has recovered important files. Kill mode deactivated." The robot lowered its arm.
"So... you believe me?"
"Scanning life form..." the robots eyes began to glow redder and the light seemed to scan Elite.
"Woah, what are you doing?"
"You are... an entity... of darkness..."
"I am an elite guard... yes."
"How do you know 'Twisted'?"
"We are... enemies."
"Noted. Recategorizing life form... friendly."
"And who are you?"
"I am Prof- Assist- unab- to- el- ab- or- ate- Assist- Pro- A- Emergency shutdown initiated." The robot stammered, it's eyes fading to black and falling over.
"Wha- really?!" Elite stuttered, staring down at the deactivated robot. "I- ugh! Let's at least get outside. I've seen enough of this place."

Elite slowly dragged the heavy deactivated robot through the grass.
"Just- a little further... why is... this thing so heavy? Come on... we need to get further! I can't risk Sabre coming back when I'm in this poor of shape! But I feel like this machine can help me. I just need to get it- a little- further-!" He sighed, finally dropping the robot near a leafless tree. "Good enough..."
He stopped. He could hear something behind him.
"... huh? What-" He walked over to where he heard the sound. "Hello? Is... someone there? Hello? Can you hear me?"
He looked over slightly to his right, where he could see a bit of red on the other side of some ruins. The figure stood; M.
"Oh... great...."
