It was snowing in Inkwell cause it was around Christmas

Elder Kettle sang as you three were hanging up the decorations Elder Kettle held out an axe as you four started to march outside
"O Christmas tree, Christmas tree shining oh so bright" you four sang together "Plug you in and watch you glow" Mugman sang
"Adorned with colored lights" Cuphead sang as well "All those beautiful decorations" you sang as well "O Christmas tree, Christmas tree we shout it out with glee" Elder Kettle sang as you, Cuphead and Mugman did a little square dance
"It just quite isn't Christmas without a big ol' Christmas tree, whoo!" You three were still marching while Elder Kettle walked backwards going inside the cottage slamming the door behind him as you three knocked hardly on the door Elder Kettle came to open the door "Yes, kids?"
Elder Kettle said "Elder Kettle, aren't you coming?" Mugman asked "Not, kids no, I'm not I've done the tree all these years, but now keeping the tradition alive is up to you"
Elder Kettle said as you three gasped "You three head down to Porkrind's and pick out a tree he'll ask for ten, but don't offer more than five" Elder Kettle said handing Mugman the money refusing to let it go in a way
"Given half a chance, old porkbutt will take you for all you've got" Elder Kettle said poking Mugman on his nose then snatching the five dollar back "But if you stick to your guns, you might even come home with change in your pocket"
Mugman tried to grab the money but Elder Kettle held on it tightly "It's very important that you come home with change in your pocket then you get to haul the three home and decorate it" Elder Kettle talked in a serious voice then changed back to his happy self Cuphead tapped his chin thinking this "Sounds like a lot of work" Cuphead said
"Yep, Merry Christmas!" Elder Kettle was about to walk back inside but was stopped by Mugman "Elder Kettle, wait!" Mugman yelled out as Elder Kettle turned around to look at him "How will we know what tree to pick?" Mugman asked "When you find the perfect tree, you'll know"
Elder Kettle said rubbing his nose then going back inside slamming the door behind him "But what does that even mean?" Mugman asked "I don't know" Cuphead said rubbing his nose "Neiter do I" you added "Ten bucks, folks all my trees are ten bucks, tree dies before Christmas? Not my problem, find a squirrel in it? Not my problem ten bucks"
Porkrind said as a duck lady handed him the money "Merry Christmas, Porkrind" a little duck boy said "Whatever" he said putting the money away "Nice trees you got there, Porkrind, how much ya askin'?" Mugman said acting a bit tough
"Ten bucks" Porkrind answered "I'll give ya five firm" Mugman said as he looked over to you and Cuphead was you both gave him thumbs up"Price this year is ten bucks price last year was then bucks, price next year? Ten bucks"
Porkrind said as Mugman chuckled a bit "Uh, listen, Porkrind how about I give you a crisp five, you give me a tree, and then me and the kids get out of your hair" Mugman said pointing at you and Cuphead
"We're the kids!" Cuphead yelled "What do you say, Porkrind? Let's close it up at five" Mugman said "Ten" Porkrind not interested in the deal Mugman made a shock face "Okay, okay six"
Mugman said pulling another finger into his gloves Porkrind just snorted walking off "You're doing great!" Cuphead whispered "Seven! I'll give you seven bucks!" Mugman yelled pulling out another finger
