Chapter 28

*Max's POV*

I held a shaking and crying Anastasia. That bastard won't come near her again. I'll make sure of it. My feelings have changed for her over the weeks. At first I only wanted to get her away from Craig but now I actually love her. She's so sweet and kind. She doesn't deserve this torture.

I pulled away from my chest as she calmed down a little and looked her in the eyes-she had the prettiest eyes.

'M-Max?' I then noticed I was staring. I shook my head snapping out of it.

'S-sorry, just zoned out a bit...uhm Tay? Can I ask you a question?' she nodded. I sighed before continuing, 'how much do you love Craig?' she looked taken aback but answered anyway.

'I-I don't know...a lot. I can't describe it. I love him. There's not really anything else to it. Why?' that stung a bit.

'Because I love you,' before either of us could register what I said I kissed her. She froze and that's when I realised what I was doing.

...oh shit...

*Anastasia's POV*

Max pulled away and I stayed frozen. He kissed me. AGAIN! My surprise quickly turned into anger.

'What the fuck is wrong with you?! You kissed me AGAIN! Are you trying to break Craig and me up?! Why the fuck would you do this?! And trying to take advantage of me when I'm in this state?! WHAT THE FUCK MAX?!' I screamed at him. I then noticed how loud I was. I panicked and threw myself into Max's chest. He can't hurt me again...

I once again realised my actions and pushed him away from me.

'I'm calling Craig,' I said pulling out my phone.

'Nononononono. PLEASE don't tell him!' Max begged on his knees. I looked down at him as the phone began ringing. Craig picked up.

'Hey Craig,' Max was still begging me.

'Hey babe,'

'C-can you please pick me up?' I tried not to cry as I remembered Dan.

'Sure. You OK?' you could hear the worry in his voice.

'Yeah. I'll explain when you get here. I'm on the FIR bus. Hurry,' I hung up before he got a chance to reply. Max finally stood up.

'Are you gonna tell him?' he asked. I shrugged and shut the curtains on the windows.

Craig arrived only 2 minutes later and I ran to him when he entered.

'Whoa, Tay what's wrong?' he asked stroking my hair as I sobbed. He sat me down on the couch and let me cry into his shirt.

'Well...Max and I went down to the p-park and we were on the swings when 2 fans came up to us-a girl called Jayleen and a boy called D-Dan. I then got a call from my ex Dan. He s-said he could see me and that I couldn't hide from him. I got scared and w-we ran back here,' I looked at Max who tensed up then back to Craig, 'M-Max then helped me calm down and...' I looked down at my hands.

'And what baby?' Craig asked who also glanced at Max.

'M-Max kissed me again...' I let a tear fall, 'but I didn't kiss back,' I added quickly looking up at Craig's angered face.

'You...WHAT?!' he stood up and took a step towards Max.

'Teenagers scare, the living shit out of me...' my phone rang interrupting Craig's yelling. I had a text. I pulled my phone from my pocket with a shaking hand. I looked down at who messaged me...
