Kirihito was further yards away from his cottage. He was on a field of shrubs where he was collecting herbs for studying medicine.

Mito was with him, in case he wandered into Konoha without their mother knowing. She was in her younger self with her red hair on two buns and in her kimono she wore the last time she died. She was reanimated in reality but her genjutsu can fool anyone to think that she is alive.

Since she herself was a mistress in the medical arts (Tsunade being her legitimate true prodigy) she often taught Kirihito about medical ninjutsu at the age of 5. Kirihito also had the necessary chakra control for that.

"Pick that herb, Kirihito-kun. It's a special one." Mito said pointing to a wild parsley.

"What is this herb, Oba-chan?" Kiri asked timidly.

"It's a Mitsuba plant. It's used to treat tense muscles, stress, cough and cold. Did you remember what I wrote in the book about Mitsuba plants?" Mito asked gently.

"Oh yeah. It helps fight blood pressure and osteo..osteo.." He said scratching his head cutely.

"..osteoporosis Kirihito-kun." Mito said laughing while covering her mouth.

"Oh..he he.." Kirihito said smiling nervously.

"Hello, kore!"

Mito stopped in her tracks on hearing the familiar idiolect. She turned around to find-

"Oh hi." Kirihito said looking doubtfully at the boy in blue scarf.

Mito widened her eyes in terror and looked sideways thinking about what to do. She thought of kidnapping Kirihito at the moment and running away. Away from this chaotic but unnecessary confusion.

But thankfully Kirihito doesn't know what's going on as he only saw a random scarfed adolescent kid that stumbled upon the woods.

"How can I help you?" Mito intervened with a fake smile.

"Oh, I was uh..just taking a stroll and saw a kid and a.. grandmother walking by and thought I could say hi. My name is Maru." The blue scarf said to him extending his hands with a smile.

Kirihito felt a familiarity with that smile and happily returned the gesture.

"How are you? My name is Kirihito." Kirihito said with a toothy smile.

"He he he.." Maru returned the same smile while scratching his head.

"Do you have a last name?" Maru asked him.

"No..Mama never revealed it to us if we have one.." Kirihito said biting his lips.

"Oh.." Maru said looking disappointed for some reason.

"Hey, do you want to play with me? I'll teach you some pranks you can do with others.." Maru asked.

"That's cool. I would love-"

Mito intervened this time. "I'm afraid the young boy need to do his medical training. Maybe perhaps another.." Mito stopped as she saw Kirihito giving her the puppy-dog eyes at her.

"..fine. Just.. don't go too far towards the eastern side. Ok?" Mito said. Konoha was east to the side from where they stood. Mito must be careful who he hangs with. And where he goes. So she decided to chaperone him.

The scarf kid saw this and while they were playing with each other, he suggested, "Hey Kiri, do you wanna lose her and go somewhere else? I'll show you this waterfall I saw in a nearby area."

Kirihito looked at Mito who was resting on a hilly grass area. She was lying down trying her best to evade the sun.

"Yeah. But how? She used to be a Jinchuriki sensor type. She'll catch us!" Kirihito warned

"Watch this." Maru used a sign and brought two clone henges into form. One looked like him and one looked like Kirihito. But the strange thing about them is that they held the same chakra as their owners did.

They were hiding behind a bush as the clone henges were formed. Maru looked at the clones and said "You are to play in the ground for atleast two hours. Keep the old bat distracted until we come back."

The fake ones went to the ground to play, and the real ones escaped into the north-western direction of the woods.
