Shūji walked into the carpeted room. In front of him was a long table with his father at one end with his ojii-san and a few others at the other.

"Yes, Father?" Shūji cautiously asked, standing with great posture.

"Come. Take a seat, " His father, a lean tall man, asked. Shūji did as he was told, "you are here to learn a bit more about the world you live in. " Ojii-san groaned at that, but did not say anything in disagreement.

"Why must I learn about a world I already know?" Shūji walked over to take the seat by his father and a girl with flowly reddish pink hair that he has seen around, rarely. She was probably around 10 or something, and was just there to understand more about what she got herself into.

"You, unfortunately, don't know quite a lot of it. Think of this as a test of sorts," Shūji quietly nodded at his father's irritatingly friendly smile. He didn't like to upset his father, but rather, make him proud of him. If it was a test he had to do, he'd do it as long as it mean't success. He and his father both hated failures.

Someone coughs to intervene from the growing tension. The man across the table (Mr. Slender as Shūji chose to call him) started the meeting, "There was an attack on Ms. Ozaki Kōyō the other day. We tried interrogating him, but the man wouldn't speak. The boss had decided to torture the man until Tsushima wished for his son to be here. Is that all that had to be recapped for the young boss?"

Everyone nodded in agreement. Pink hair girl was the only one shaking out of what? Fear. It was obvious that was just a half lie. A half accidental lie that just came from Mr. Slender.

"Shūji, what do you think about the situation? " Ojiisan asked him. He thought for sure moment then looked at Ms. Pink Hair.

"It wasn't a kidnapping, was it? You wanted to go, right? "

"I- No! O- of course I didn't want to leave," she said in attempt to save her own skin from the wrath of the supposed Mafia Shūji was associated with. He's pretty much obliged to believe what that doctor said in the end.

"Kōyō, dear, you do understand running away is the silliest thing to do when affiliated with the port Mafia, correct? " Ojii-san had a serious and cold tone to his voice. It made Shūji shiver for he had never heard his grandfather say something in such a horrifying way.

She gulped. Close to tears, she stood up and yelled, "PLEASE! I beg of you! Don't hurt him! If anything, kill me instead! He did nothing wrong! "

"That would be a waste of your talents Ozaki-chan~" his father chimed in with a slight smile to his face. He was amused at her suffering.

"No... Please don't.." She dropped to the ground. Tears rolled out of her eyes.

"Bring him here!" Father yelled at the guards standing there watching.

"PLEASE, I beg of you! I love him! Don't please!" She stood face to face to him now. The man in question was right beside the three of them.  He appeared to be a teenager rather than a grown adult. He was most likely sixteen, her friend rather than lover with his expression.

Shūji watched. He didn't understand. "What are you going to do Jiji? It is her fault, why does he have to pay for her doing?"

"Because, losing the one you love is the worst punishment you can get. "

Bang!

The man dropped to the floor. Sobs became even louder. But all Shūji could hear was ringing. Loud ringing that wouldn't go away. All in his vision was the blood oozing out of the back of his skull. His eyes were opened wide, rolling back into his head. the red gushy blood was dripping all over the floor.
