[ movie - yours, mine & ours ]
[ chapter six ]
WILLIAM LED THE GROUP UP AHEAD, walking towards everyone who was 14 and younger. Phoebe was close second to him, though we could see her rushing up to him once he reached the rest of our siblings. We knew the moment William spun Phoebe around, he heard the latest news in school so Christina and I rushed up the group, joining in in the cheering.
William gave us both a hug as well before high fiving everyone else for the group effort. I hugged Christina and Phoebe, cheering for William when I spotted Dylan walking up to us, and I realized that in midst the excitement, I had forgotten about him. William spotted him as well, standing up straight just as Dylan reached us, a smile etched on his face.
"Way to go, Willie." Dylan told William proudly, their hands slapping one another as the sun shined even brighter down at all of us
"Couldn't have done it without you, bro." William told him and I cleared my throat, catching his attention
"Without all of you." William corrected himself and I grinned, squealing once more before hugging him tightly once more
**The North's Drumstick**
Ethan, Harry followed by Naoko and Lau were the first ones to get out of the bus. After them was Mick and Kelly who were followed by Michael and both set of twins (Bina & Marisa, Ely & Otter) with Joni and Jimi behind them. Christina led the older kids out with Aldo at her side, and Dylan and Phoebe followed her and I walked after them with William being the last one out.
Once we were all on the ground, we cheered once more in excitement on what was to come for the school year since William was now president. However, our excitement grew once more when we spotted Frank walking out of the house, and we were all eager to tell him the news. However, Naoko beat us all by simply rushing up ahead to meet him halfway just as the school bus left the grounds.
"Dad, guess what happened today at school?" Naoko asked him eagerly with Harry following behind her
"Hey, I wanna tell him." Harry told her, the both of them walking side-by-side now with the rest of us falling behind them
"Have you ever heard yourself tell a story? You have a tendency of rambling." Naoko informed him making me snort in amusement
"Okay, listen up, guys! I have something important to say." Frank called for our attention and we were all silenced for a couple of seconds
"We're leaving?" Harry asked him, the realization of his words hitting me as I eyed Frank's duffel bag at his side
"What? No." Christina told her Dad, crossing her arms in defiance and in mind, I knew this was coming but I wanted it to be delayed now
"Do we have to leave?" Kelly asked him quietly, and I didn't want them leave from here, they were my new family, I couldn't say goodbye but this was the plan all along
"Look, just 'cause you and Mom had a little fight that's no reason..." Phoebe started to say to Frank but was interrupted
"It was a big fight. This whole thing is our fault. We tried to make all of you live with people that you have nothing in common with, and that was self-centered of us. It was pigheaded. And I'd like to talk about this more, but my ship sails in a half-hour." Frank told us all softly after he glanced down at his watch
"Where are you going?" Aldo asked him quietly, and from the corner of my eye, I could see William's eyes widening as he glanced at Christina, Dylan and Phoebe and me in realization that he would most likely never see us again
