Chapter 11: Red and Blue Gems

The night was flawless between the pair, The two hedgehogs can be seen in the middle of the field, Lying in the soft grass. It was a cold and relaxing night, Yet they weren't feeling any coldness..As they delicately hold eachother, Feeling the warmth in eachother's bodies. They will not be able to feel any frigidness in this state.

One hedgehog is still wide awake, He couldn't close his eyes for He was distinctly busy watching the other hedgehog's chest..moving up and down every time he breathes, He was consequently mesmerize with the other's breathtaking looks. Those glimmering emerald orbs looking into his own, Those ungloved hands stroking his tanned cheeks, Being able to feel his sapphire quills, Hearing his heavenly voice. Everything is unusually perfect about him. He begun to smile once again, He couldn't believe that this hedgehog can be able to make him the most delighted hedgehog in the universe.

He held the blue hedgehog as if like no one could take him away from him, Yes indeed no one can..He's only obtainable for the ultimate lifeform, and the hero was very aware of that. His lips made contact with the hero's forehead, While he give the hero a tender peck. Sonic only warmly smiled at the quick peck he felt.

Meanwhile, The black hedgehog quickly saw the smile. He only chuckled quietly to prevent the hero from waking up from his slumber. He looks rather peaceful so he wouldn't dare to disturb his love one, and he looks absolutely adorable in the darker hedgehog's perspective. He undo his gloved hands, Leaving only his inhibitor rings. His midnight like hands, With red stripe can be perceive.

He moved his ungloved hands to the blue hedgehog's arm, He removed his gloves in order to feel his soft azure fur more. As he started to touch his lover's blue arms, Rubbing it soothingly and chiefly in a deliberate manner. His azure fur is undeniably soft..it was almost addictive than drugs, Considering this one is finer.

Sonic nuzzled his chest fur even more, Feeling cozy in the black and red striped hedgehog's chest. I must say, this is his favorite spot Shadow thought, While he formed a grin in his muzzles

He turned his attention back into the nightsky, Admiring it from afar once again. His mind wondered back to his old friend back on the ark 50 years ago, This was the exact happiness maria wished for him to have..Right? But if his guess is fully correct, Then all he could do is to thank his dearest friend about it. He then, once again, place a wonderful smile that can make everyone descend. "Thank you, a thousand times..maria." He mumbled to himself, His deep and soothing voice is now filled with appreciativeness. He couldn't hide his happiness anymore now, And From that point all he could feel is such bliss.

And from this very moment, He would not let anything to put this to an end..This was something he needs to treat as a treassure, Maybe for the rest of his life. His partner started to shift slightly from his place, As he open his eyes gradually, Revealing a tired yet unique emerald orbs. Sonic then gently massage his eyes so he can fully see his sorroundings.

Shadow quickly took notice sonic waking up. He decided to nuzzle his partner's forehead, Feeling his soft fur once again. "Hey..Did you get a good sleep?" The midnight furred hedgehog sweetly asked his tired lover, The blue hero can now recall what happened after falling asleep in his lover's arms. He just smiled after hearing shadow's charming voice. "It was great, Your body is so warm.." The azure hero stated in a slight tired voice, Shadow only chuckled in response. "You sounds like that nap wasn't enough, Are you still tired?"

"Yeah, i mean..kind of heh." Sonic chuckled. He was lucky enough to be in his ex rival's warm embrace, Like..he didn't expect for this to happen but here he is now, Cuddling with his now ultimate lifeform boyfriend. And for some reason, He did not want to let go from their positions. He nuzzled even more to his lover's chest fur. "Might as well go back to sleep here.." He spoke, His voice was muffled due to the obstructed ivory fur. But Shadow was able to hear it clearly. "haven't you called your fox friend yet? he might be worried about you" shadow said. The blue one's eyes widen in realization, He's right he haven't heard about his friend after the storm.

"Holy chaos! I completely forgot about tails!!" Sonic started panicking, He reach for his quills to grab his phone so he can be able to text his friend.

"He's probably still sleeping, especially this time." Shadow spoke in a serene way while rubbing his partner's back to soothe him down a bit. The moment sonic clicked the call button on his phone, it started ringing and the fox's icon can be seen with a nickname on it "little bro".

After a while of waiting, someone finally accepted the call from the hero. It started with a feminine and soothing voice, Sonic at first wondered who could be the woman behind the phone "Hello?" She answered. Meanwhile beside him is shadow who recognized the voice, But he was unsure with his quick guess. But seconds later sonic realized it was vanilla "Oh! Miss vanilla, It's sonic..i called for tails, Is he okay?" The blue blur sweetly asked to the rabbit "Good evening sonic, Oh and about tails..he's fine, he's actually sleeping right now. What about you? Why are you still awake this late?"

Sonic released a sigh of relief after hearing that his little brother is still in a good condition and good hands, It totally calmed him. "Thanks ms vanilla for taking care of him and uh..i just woke up heh.." He answered the rabbit's question. Vanilla chuckled at the answer she received from the blue blur "Alright then, you can now go back to sleep its good for your health too." Vanilla then sweetly spoke, sonic smiled. He wasn't completely surprised that vanilla would act in such a motherly manner towards everyone including his friends, and he very much appreciates it.

"I will, thank you so much again.."

"It's nothing dear, good night" after that, the call ended. He returned his attention towards his partner once again, He softly smiled at him while giving him a quick peck on the cheek. "Why don't we go back to your house and cuddle all night long?" The hero's suggestion seems to brighten the midnight furred hedgehog a lot on the inside, but on the outside he decides not to show it a bit so he just gave the hero a soft smile. "Couldn't agree more to that.."

They arrived quickly at the ebony one's house, sonic entered first for he was still tired after waking up late at night. He yawned while heading towards the stairs, which leads to shadow's room.

The red striped hedgehog locked the door before following his partner upstairs so they could finally lie down together and possibly cuddle the rest of the night, He just loves the idea to stay with his lover forever..IF that would be possible. He walked upstairs, and opened his door.

He quickly found a snoring azure hedgehog in his bed. He walked towards the bed and lie down beside his sleeping partner, As he pulls the covers right on top of them to keep them warm and cozy. He closed his crimson orbs..and drifted off to sleep.
