Heey guys~! Sorry i took a while writing this ((and it's hell short... T-T)) sorry. Just fyi, this isn't the end~ just some fluff because fluff if fluffy fluff fluffersons. ehhhhehehhe. I hope you enjoy it!

Kaneki woke up hours, maybe only minutes later, his body aching with pain. His eyes burned, so he left them closed, forgetting where he was. 'I must be back in the 7th ward... with Tsukiyama and Banjou... Hinami...' he thought, a sigh escaping his lips.

He moved a little, feeling someone in his arms. "Hinami...?" he asked, his arm asleep. "Did you have another nightmare?" he asked, his eyes fluttering open. He stared down for a moment, his eyes shocked to see a sleeping Touka, her chest moving up and down with sleep.

He was silent as he looked at her, his hand moving to brush a strand of hair from her cheek, the dark purple strand soft in his fingertips. Touka sat up, a breath sucking into her lungs. "Hinami..." she said, her eyes blurry as she searched for the edge of the blanket. "I'm sorry I'm late..." she said.

"Touka?" Kaneki said, looking up at her.

Her face turned, her eyes full of exhaustion. They became wide as she saw him. "Kaneki!" she said, falling out of the bed. She sat up from the floor. "D-did I wake you up?" she asked, her voice apologetic.

He shook his head, smiling at how her long hair was messy. "No... but I think I may have woken you up." He said, his sweet smile returning for the first time in a while. "Sorry." He said.

She blushed for a second. She scratched her head. "No, no. I was supposed to get up anyways." She said.

"What happened?" Kaneki said, sitting up and stretching a little.

Touka stood, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. "Hinami had a bad dream." She said. "She was scared of the dark and couldn't fall back asleep. She asked me to come sleep with her, but she saw us..." Touka trailed off for a second, her cheeks heating at the remembrance of Kaneki's arms around her. "I asked for twenty more minutes... but I fell asleep again." She said, guiltily.  

"I'll come with you." Kaneki said, looking over at the faint light on the bedside table. It was still dark outside, and it allowed him to see around the room.

Touka smiled a little. "Okay." She said.

He stood, stretching again. He looked over at her, his smiled soft and sweet. They walked down the hall until they got to Hisami's room. Touka opened the door slowly, peeking in.

            Hinami was sitting on the bed, her lamp on and a book in her hands. She looked up and saw Kaneki and Touka, her face becoming relieved. She dropped the book and slid off her bed, running and hugging Kaneki.

"What took you so long?" she demanded, her tense shoulders relaxing. She pulled her face back, her features distraught.

"I'm sorry..." Touka said, her cheeks flushing. "I fell asleep..." she said.

Kaneki picked Hinami up, his joints creaking. "Well, we're here now." He said, smiling up at her.

She laughed a little, her body a few feet off the ground. Kaneki saw the dark rings under her eyes, and his smile faltered. She must've been having nightmares. "Well Touka and I will sleep in here then." He said, putting Hinami down onto her bed. "Then you can sleep." He said.

Touka laid down, against the wall, and Hinami snuggled next to her, Kaneki laying down on her other side. She fell asleep quickly after Kaneki turned off the light.

There was silence but for their breathing, and after a moment, Kaneki head Touka sigh.

"I'm glad you're back." She said.

Kaneki smiled in the dark, stroking Hinami's hair. "Me... me too." He said.

There was another moment of silence, and Kaneki wondered if Touka had fallen asleep.

When her soft lips met his, he was surprised, his breath leaving him as her hand touched his cheek. He closed his eyes, and their lips came together like puzzle pieces, fitting just right.

Just how it was supposed to be.
