After a desperate chase and duel with the villain, Anakin and his troops defeated Bane and forced to evacuate his doomed vessle, without the holocron. Or so we thought Cad was defeated.

Zen, inside his Headhunter, is heading back to Corusant after a short patrol mission around the known planets where Force-sensitive childrens are. He got a call from them when they said that Cad Bane is still alive and able to escape from them. When he landed, Zen immediately rush to the Jedi Council meeting room.
(Jedi Temple)

When he arrives there, the meeting already started with Anakin and Ahsoka also back there.
Zen: I'm here! So what happened?
Obi-Wan: Cad Bane escaped... again.
Windu: With the access to the name and locations of most Force-sensitive children in the Republic.
Yoda: Inflict a devastating damage to the Jedi Order, he could.
Anakin: We've discovered that Bane is working with the Separatist.
Obi-Wan: There's thousands of children on that list. Which should we go after first?
Yoda: Small chance it is, through the Force, count we can may detect them.
Windu: Zen, can you sense where Cad Bane would go to?
Zen: That is hard to tell. I can sense disturbance in the Force, but it only tells me that something bad would happen. It can't tell me the exact location of where it might occur.
Windu: I see.
Obi-Wan: We've depend on you in several occasion because of your ability to sense terrible event. I apologizes for keep doing so.
Zen: There's no need to apologize, Masters.
Obi-Wan: Then let's get back to our--
Zen: Masters, when it come to Cad Bane, can you let me handle him when you captured him?
Obi-Wan: And why is that?
Zen: Well... Let's just say I know some more about him... Cad is dangerous, but there is a way to make "deal" with him. Please excuse me.
He bow and walk out from the Jedi Council room. Yoda, Anakin, Windu and Obi-Wan went to a meditation room where they use the Force in order to look for the where Bane might show up.
(Training Hall)
At the training hall, Zen is meditating at the center of the room. While meditating, he sense someone's presence and heard footsteps. Zen smile before he glance back and saw Aayla.
Zen: Never expect to see you here.
Aayla: When I heard you were here, I was wondering why you're here.
