The plane has finally taken off from the airport, after hours of waiting.
I can go back home, and see my family. I am happy, but I miss Liliana and her family already. I am going to have to come back and visit them at some point. I need to check Liliana keeps herself alive, for one thing!
"Anything from the trolley?" A female voice says, interrupting my thoughts. I look over, and and see a lady wearing the uniform for this plane, smiling at me expectantly.
"Do you want anything?" She repeats.
"Oh, no thanks," I say.
"Yeah, some ready salted crisps please," the man next to me says. He's British, and has a deep voice, that doesn't articulate words very well.
The lady hand him a bag of crisps, he pays, and I turn back to looking out the window.
Suddenly my phone vibrates, and I open the message. I see the man next to me peeking over my shoulder, and hide my phone from him. Nosy.

Are you on the plane safely? Have you got everything? Tell me if anything goes wrong!
Mum xx

I sigh. She sent me almost the exact same text before I left the Wellford's house. She's so overprotective.
I reply, telling her that everything is fine, and then go onto my messages with Sadie. She's coming to meet me at the airport, like was planned before. She didn't want to after last time, but I persuaded her, and this time hopefully everything will be alright.

On the plane!

I send her a message, just to assure her that I am coming, this time.

My phone vibrates, and I turn it on expecting a reply from Sadie, but instead it's from Liliana. Or her parents, I'm not entirely sure.
Before I left, her parents gave me her number, so I can message her and find out how she's doing and all that. But of course she can't use it in hospital, so it's just her parents for now.

Did you get on your flight okay?
Heather :)

Aww, they're so nice. I do miss them, but I am really starting to miss my parents, so I am glad I'm going back.

Yes thanks!
Charlie

I reply. I switch off my phone, and turn it onto aeroplane mode, since we've now left Britain and there'll be no signal.
I stare out the window for a bit, then take out my earphones, and plug them in. I choose my playlist 'for long journeys' and a song starts to play.
It's one of my favourite songs, and I have to resist the urge to sing along really loudly, but only half manage it. I'm humming, and the guy next to me whispers, "Can you stop that please?"
"Uh okay sorry," I reply, a bit taken aback. I don't think I was that loud...
After a whole I begin to get really bored, and I feel like I need to stand up.
I close my eyes instead, and try to relax and maybe even sleep to pass some time, but I can't. Thoughts keep popping up here and there. Mostly to do with Liliana, or Lily as she told me to call her. I think I do miss her, quite a lot. I wonder if she misses me.
Unlikely.

I step out into the waiting area in America, and look around for Sadie. I can't see her. I sit down on one of the seats and wait a few minutes, but I don't see her arrive, so I have a quick check around again. Definitely can't see her. Confused, and slightly panicked, as she's taking me home, I take out my phone. But before I can turn it on, someone bashes me hard from behind, and I turn round in surprise, almost dropping my phone. The person hugs me tightly, and for a moment I'm very confused, but then I see Sadie's mum smiling just in front of me, and realise it must be my girlfriend.
I hug her back, and after a few seconds we pull away.
"I have missed you so much," Sadie says, smiling.
"I missed you too," I say.
We stand grinning at each other for a moment, until her mum interrupts.
"Have you got everything Charlie? Are we okay to go?"
"Yes," I reply.
"Let's go then!"
We manage to find our way out the airport okay, and into the car park.
"Er... Where's the car?" Sadie's mum says uncertainly.
"Wasn't it over there?" Sadie says, pointing to the right of us.
"I don't know, lets have a look..."
We wander around the car park trying to find the car for about 10 minutes, Sadie's mum getting more and more stressy, until we finally find it.
"Phew!" She says, pulling out her keys.
"Airport car parks are always packed," I laugh. Our family does that every time we go on holiday by plane!
We get in the car, and chat for ages, Sadie and I catching up on four days worth of news and gossip, and Sadie's mum occasionally joining in.
"...Henry Davidson got three detentions in one lesson the other day," Sadie tells me, laughing.
"How is that even possible?" I laugh, "which teacher was it?"
"Mrs Deslam"
"I can imagine that!"

When we're about half an hour away from home, Sadie's mum asks, "Have you told your parents your nearly back?"
And I remember that my phone is on aeroplane mode. Woops. I quickly turn it back on, and recieve 5 texts and three missed calls from mum and dad.

I'm back safely! Sorry forgot to turn aeroplane mode of haha! Nearly back now.
Charlie

I send that to both my parents so they can stop panicking that my plane crashed and I died a horrific death, and then continue chatting with Sadie.
She almost makes me forget all about Liliana, except they have the same way of talking, and everything she says makes me think of Lily. I decide that when I get back, I'm going to ring the Wellford's, just to have a quick chat. I think I need to, or I won't be able to concentrate on anything else.

Another short, filling in the space chapter, sorry! I know this is boring, but I have some good ideas (or I think they're good anyways) for the next few chapters 😋😊

Vote and comment if you like this badness 👍👍
