Leigh sipped her break room coffee quietly, as she moved through the hallways, blue scrubs hanging slightly off her frame. A sad smile plastered her face as she knocked on the frame of the door.

"Ah, there she is." the man had brown hair with frosted tips, the dye completely unkept, "My favorite almost sister-in-law."

Leigh rolled her eyes jokingly, "Hi, Pietro." Leigh entered the room, "Hey, Arabella," she added turning to his very pregnant wife.

"How are you feeling," Leigh took the chart off the end of his bed, comparing his vitals, "I'm wonderful," the man stated with a bright smile.

"He's having one of his bad days," Arabella noted, cutting him off sadly, "He's just stubborn, and doesn't like to admit it."

Leigh nodded putting her stethoscope up to her ears, "Lean forward please," she put it against his back, "Deep breath."

"Okay, let it out." Leigh frowned jotting something down in the chart, "Again, please."

After finishing up she set the chart down, "You were late today," Pietro noted.

The brunette was aware she was late, she had lost track of time while totally freaking out about the whole time travel thing.

"Was I?" Leigh arched an eyebrow at him, "Yes." he nodded.

"What's going on?" he asked, and Leigh pressed her lips together, "I found something new to be hopeful for." she decided on saying after a few moments.

"Oh?"

Arabella followed her out of the room, closing the door behind her, "I need you to be straight with me, Leigh." she started.

And Leigh turned to face her, "How long does he have, honestly?"

The brunette shook her head sadly, "I'm so sorry, Arabella. Pietro's state is declining by the day. He doesn't have long."

Arabella released a shaky breath, "I figured, and there's nothing we can do?"

Leigh shook her head, gently touching Arabella's arm, "All we can do is try and make him comfortable."

"Jesus, I never expected any of this from life- I mean don't get me wrong I'm so incredibly happy that I got have this much time with the man that I love so much, but the fact that he might not be around to meet his kid...it's killing me."

"I'm so sorry, Arabella." Leigh breathed, "I really tried. I tried to find something, anything, to give you guys, and myself hope."

"It's not your fault, Leigh. None of it is." Arabella reassured her.

Leigh forced a smile, "I know it's not."

"Leigh, I know you don't believe that, but you should." Arabella frowned, "You need to take better care of yourself."

"I know."

"Tony fixed the whole turning into a baby thing," Natasha noted.

"This feels weird," Leigh half-smiled, "A good weird though, I've missed our Avengers family."

Leigh's eyes moved around the room, studying her surroundings, "Is that Thor?"

Natasha nodded, "We all deal with grief in different ways."

The woman was right, Thor's approach just happened to be the exact opposite of Leigh's. Not that either way was a very healthy way of coping.

"Woah." Leigh stopped abruptly in the doorway, "Clint what the hell are you doing in that suit?"

A short wave of guilt flashed across the man's face, "Scott wasn't ready."

Leigh felt a bit guilty herself, she was not reluctant to send Scott back into the time machine for the sake of getting everyone back, but Clint. She just got him back, she wasn't prepared for the consequences of this potentially not working out.

"If we can do this," Rhodey started, "you know, go back in time. Why can't we just find baby Thanos? You know and..." he trailed off doing a sort of strangling motion.

"First of all, that's horrible." Bruce stated, "It's Thanos." Rhodey defended.

"And secondly, time doesn't work like that. Changing the past doesn't change the future."

"So basically what you're saying is every movie about time travel is just completely wrong." Leigh shook her head.

"Yes! I don't know why everyone believes that, but that isn't true." Bruce stated, "Think about it, if you travel to the past...that past becomes your future. And your former present becomes your past. Which can't now be changed by your new future."

"Yes, sure, that makes perfect sense," Leigh muttered.

"So Back to the Future, is a bunch of bullshit?" Scott asked.

Leigh scoffed, "When is Hollywood not bullshit?"
