The sound of the ocean filled Angelwing's ears as she regained consciousness from her sleep. The sunrise burning her eyes as she opened them. Bluemoon was gone now, probably back to the stronghold, as to not be a bud guest to the Queen; He was royalty after all.

Angelwing pulled herself up and picked a couple apples from a nearby tree. It was oddly quiet. There were no seagulls, or crabs or... anything really. It was odd, this place was bursting with life last night. There was the odd rustling in a bush behind her, but she really thought nothing of it.

Her mistake. She took a bite from one of the apples and was suddenly tackled and pinned to the ground by a cluster of slightly familiar black and orange scales.

"Hello, little Rainwing." The dragoness said in a sinister voice. Angel remembered her. She was the assassin that attacked her in Possibility.

"Who are you? What do you want from me? Why are you hunting me?"

The dragoness rolled her eyes. "So many questions. I am Nightsun, I am a paid assassin. If I'm hunting you, then that what I'm paid to do. But, you are a different circumstance, I am hunting you for my own personal reasons."

"Personal? I don't even know you!" Angel shouted, struggling to fight her way out of the larger dragons tight grip.

Nightsun let out an evil chuckle. "Your struggling is usle-"

She was cut off from suddenly being tackled to the ground. It took Angel a moment before she realized she was free. She scrambled to her feet, ready to defend herself, this time.

Her eyes sightly widened. It was Bluemoon, he had the orange dragoness pinned, with one of her knives pressed firmly against her neck.

"Who in Pyhrria do you think you are!?" He growled. "That is my mate, and you will not harm her! EVER!"

"You know exactly who I am." She said in a raspy voice.

"Yeah, so? I don't if you're my Aunt or not." His voice had a dark murderous tone to it. "I'll kill you either way. So BACK. OFF!"

Nightsun looked like she was going to fight him, but her expression change quickly, and she gave him a begrudging nod. "Fine. I'll leave your puny Rainwing alone."

Bluemoon slowly got off her and destroyed her knife in his talon. "She's not puny, not leave."

Nightsun gave a murderous look towards Angel, before taking off into the bush. Bluemoon rushed over to Angelwing, taking her talons in his.

"Are you alright?"

Angelwing nodded. "Y-yes, Thank you." She let out a long sigh. " I should've never left the stronghold."

Bluemoon shook his head. "No, its alright, how were you to know you were going to be attacked by an assassin?"

She hadn't thought about it like that.

"Lets..." She paused. "Just get back to the others."

She took off into the sky, with Bluemoon following close behind her.

"So... Where are we going next?"

"The Ice kingdom." He said, excitedly. "I'm really excited for you to meet some of my family."

Angelwing gave him a soft smile. This was the first time she'd seen him this excited, ever. They flew silently alongside each other.

When they reached the stronghold, Angel saw Hope playing in the sand, with Dawn relaxing on a rock nearby.

Angel decended from her flight and landed near the two. Bluemoon continued on to gather the rest of the group.

Hope let out a squeak and ran towards her Aunt. Angel picked up the dragonet and hugged her close.

Dawn had move from her rock, and closer to the two.

"Are you excited?"

Angelwing gave her a confused look. "Uhm... excited for what?"

"The next kingdom is the ice kingdom. Where mom is."

Angel stared at her for a moment. If she was being honest, with all the stuff with Bluemoon last night, she'd completely forgotten that she was so close to finding her mom.

"Oh, yeah. I guess I am. How about you?"

Dawn let out a little shiver. "I'm a little nervous."

Angel put a wing around her sister. "I'll be there with you. Don't worry."

Dawn gave Angelwing a gentle smile as the rest of the group, along with the Queen, joined them.

Angel gave the Queen a bow. "Thank you so much for the stay, Queen Foxhunter."

Foxhunter gave her a nod. "Of course, you are welcome here anytime. Any friend of the Royal Icewings are welcome here at the fullest protection."

Dragonfruit, Wintertide and Bluemoon had full bags of rations. With Constellation carrying two, until Dawn took one.

"Hope I've gotten you guys enough to get you to the ice kingdom." Foxhunter said, scanning over all the bags.

"Yes, there's lots here, and it's only a days flight." Bluemoon said, reassuring her.

"Very well. Safe travels."

Bluemoon nodded and took off into the air, and one by one, the others followed.

Angel was the last to leave, because Hope was being a dediant dragonet and didn't want to leave the sand.

Angel didn't really blame her. Even with her animus touched jewellery, Hope's scales were still very warm and threw a lot of heat. The warm sand probably felt nice and not cold, like the floors of the stronghold.

Angel watched the ground as they flew, seeing miles and miles of sand. She couldn't help but think about her mother. Or mothers really.

On one talon, she was excited to finally meet her real mom, and being on her way to the ice kingdom made ot much less like a dream and more of a reality.

On the other talon. Her mom, Violetstars, raised her as her own. She didn't treat her any less special than Moondrop. Angel couldn't help think about what she went through when she realized Angel wasn't there.

She knew Violetstars would've worried. After all, Angel was pretty helpless most of her life, being blind.

Angel looked back at one of the directions they came in.

"I'll see you again soon, mom." She whispered. "I promise."
