Angelwing awoke a while later, sometime during the night. Two of the three moons were full and the third was just a small crescent. The soft white light filtered through the ice paned window, casting an eerie shadow throughout the room. It took her a minute to get up and shook the sleepy feeling out of her body before she made her way through the dark, quiet hallway, the soft, orange glow from her necklace bounced off the wall, giving her some idea of where she was going.

She walked to the small creek, that ran through the village, and spashed some water on her face. It was quiet, except for the sound of the frogs and crickets and the flow of the running water. It was peaceful.

A dragon suddenly appeared out of the forest on the other side of the creek. She looked a lot like Violetstars, but was black and orange instead of purple. She had a murderous look in her eyes with a hint of insanity. She was holding a small dagger.

"You..." She said in a low growl.

Angel really didn't register the dragon's anger or aggression, she just kinda stood there looking at the dragon in front of her, that looked exactly like Violetstars, except her being orange instead of purple.

"Me? Did i do something?" She questioned.

"I've been sent here by another... To eliminate you."

Angel's jaw dropped. "Wait, what? Who wants me dead?"

"It doesn't really matter to you, seeing as you'll be dead soon." She finished her sentence and lunged for the young rainwing. It took less than a second for the larger dragon to reach Angel, pinning her down before she could blink. Angel struggled underneath her weight, trying to slither her way out. The orange dragon stopped her by stepping on her necklace... shattering the pearl. She didn't have much time to react before a quick flash of blue streaked across her line of vision, taking the other dragoness down and tackled her into the woods. There was a long moment of rustling in the leaves before a dragon emerged.

"Bluemoon?" Angel questioned.

"Are you okay?" He questioned back. She nodded before asking another question.

"What are you doing here?" She questioned.

"I.... uhm.... kinda followed you. I just wanted to make sure nothing bad happened to you, seeing as you've never been here before."

Angel couldn't help but blush slightly. Nobody had ever cared for her like that before. It sent a warm feeling down her scales. It wasn't until Bluemoon had chuckled that she relized that her scales turned multiple shades of pink. She quickly grew embarrassed and and hid her face in her wings. She looked down at the necklace that sat around her neck and turned a blueish - grey with sadness as the saw the bare flamesilk string sitting against her chest.

She picked up the broken pearl and sighed.

"I'm sorry." Bluemoon said. "Nightsun is a dangerous assassin, and extremely pricey."

Angel gave him a skeptical look. "How do you know so much about her?" She questioned, placing the broken pearl on the ground.

"She's my insane sister's mate. She's also a deadly assassin. And, honestly, I'm surprised she wasn't with her."

"So, let me get this straight. Not only do I have an extremely dangerous assassin after me, I may also have an insane dragon after me as well?"

Bluemoon nodded with a heavy sigh. "That is correct. But, nothing will happen to you."

"And how do you know?" She growled, her defense was high.

"Your necklace." He said, gesturing the soft, glowing string. "There was no magic in the pearl. Its all in the flamesilk. And its enchanted to protect you."

"How do you know what my necklace is enchanted to do? Actually, you can answer a bunch of my questions."

Bluemoon began to back away, shaking his head. "Angel, I don't think its a good idea."

"And why not?" She growled in raised voice. "Everything, since I got here, has all been one big secret. Why can't I know anything?"

"Angel, calm down." Bluemoon whispered, looing around. He grabbed one of her talons and pulled her into the forest. He pulled her deeper and deeper, until they reached a clearing in the middle of it.

"Now, nobody will hear you. What are your questions."

"First of all, who is Redfox? Why is she so important?"

"I can't answer that, just yet." He sighed.

"Fine. How about how you know so much about animus magic? Or maybe you know how our chains suddenly busted off? It was only ours, not anyone else's." Angel asked, getting closer to him.

Bluemoon sighed. "Its time you knew the truth." He looked down at the ground, not able to face her.

"Angel, I am an animus."
