A/N: I tried to get this out ASAP, so hopefully it hasn't taken to long. Thank you to my first reader sav_and_the_phantoms. If anyone else has read this by the time this chapter comes out, then I hope you're enjoying it so far. I'm also trying to get things done quickly as I know how impatient I can be, especially when waiting for something :)

(Peter/Penny is 12yrs old)

The alarm sounded, indicating it was time for school - yay! The 12 year old sluggishly fell out of bed, dreading the day ahead.

Ever since Penny started being herself - or should I say Peter started being himself - the cliché school bully,Flash, had made her his main target. Constantly bombarding her with names, slurs, and even getting physical. Flash constantly told Penny that she needed to learn to take a hit and 'man up' if she was going to be a boy. Penny knew Flash was the dumbest person on earth, so tried not to listen to him, but sometimes the words still hurt.

Penny dragged herself from off the floor and started getting changed. She threw on a tight floral t-shirt and some skinny jeans. She hated having to put this on, but she had to hide her true self from aunt May.

After brushing her teeth and tying her hair, Penny packed her school bag. The bag consisted of the usual; books, pencil case, and lunch, but also the spare clothes to get changed into once she got to school. She packed her binder, packer, baggy blue jeans, oversized tshirt, black hoodie and a beanie to stuff her hair into.

Penny walked into the kitchen, grabbing an apple, before saying a quick 'bye' to May, and running out the door.

Ned greeted Penny as they met by the sandwich shop to walk to school.

Luckily, the sandwich shop had restrooms, so the 12 year old quickly rushed in to get changed whilst Ned waited outside. Two minutes later, Peter came back out of the restroom, and the bestfriends carried on their journey school.

The pair where enthusiastically chatting about the new LEGO star destroyer that Ned had got for his birthday when they reached the school gates.

Walking towards their lockers, Peter heard the sound of familiar foot steps. " Hey Parker!" Peter rolled his eyes "Can't believe that they still let a tranny like you come to this school" Flash spat. Before Peter could respond, the bully lunged at him, punching him in the stomach. "Oh, Puny Parker is too much of a girl to take even a small hit!" Flash taunted as the other boy fell to his knees. Flash hadn't had chance to do anymore damage, as another lot of familiar steps were heard. "Hey asshole!" The group of bullies hurriedly walked away as MJ came closer.

No one dared to mess with MJ. And fortunately for Peter, she was one of his closest friends.

"You OK?" MJ asked in her usual 'I don't give af' tone. Peter knew she cared, but she just didn't like to show much emotion. "Uh...yeah,yeah. Um I'm fine" Peter breathlessly replied. With a hint of sarcasm, MJ shrugged and said "OK, sure you are." Adding even more sass, MJ finished with an eye roll. "When are you finally going to tell on him Peter? He's hurting you and I'm done with his bullshit!" Peter knew that he should tell someone, but he also knew that it would just make things worse. "It's fine I can handle it". Both Ned and MJ opened their mouths to say something, but luckily for Peter, the bell rang signally for the start of class. All three headed off to their first classes, cutting their conversation short.

It was now lunchtime. Peter, Ned and MJ sat together at their usual table eating lunch. Peter and Ned spoke about nerdy stuff while MJ read her book like always.
