"Hey, can I come in?"

It was Steve. 'Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!' Peter threw his hood up to cover his face, in hopes of hiding his tear tracks. "Uh, yeah, come in!" Steve walked into the room and the boy carefully studied his face. He was shocked as he could only find sympathy and guilt unlike the anger and disgust he witnessed earlier. Steve sat on the end of the kids bed, anxiously looking down at his hands.

"I just wanted to come here and apologise. I'm sorry for what I said earlier, I just didn't understand, but I shouldn't've lashed out. I didn't mean to hurt you it's just- I used to know a guy called Colin back in the day. Said they were a woman, and they got really badly hurt and mistreated, so I guess I just wanted to protect you. But that still doest excuse my actions, so I'm really sorry Peter." The pair both had tears in their eyes. Peter was speechless. He knew Steve was in the wrong earlier, but knowing the man's side of the story, he understood why. The boy was just happy that he was finally accepted. "I forgive you. And thank you for caring for and accepting me." Peter lunged at Steve, wrapping his arms around the man's torso in a tight hug. Steve hugged back, and the two remained like that for a while.

Ugh, back to school - *sarcastically* yay!

Peter got out of bed, and proceeded with his routine. Although he was going to school, he was happy about it because today Tony was going with him to change his name in the school register. Finally he'd be a boy at school. He was nervous, but also excited; he couldn't wait!

~

Tony and Peter walked into the school reception, getting a few stares on the way. Peter radiated with excitement as his dead name would finally be dead at school.

"Hi, I need one of those 'student personal information' letters, we need to change a couple things." Tony explained to the stunned receptionist. A couple minutes later, the reception came back, handing Peter the letter and a pen. "Thanks."

The pair filled it in. They changed Peter's name - obviously - and added both Tony and Nat to the emergency contacts list. After handing the letter in, the pair said their goodbyes and Peter headed off to his locker.

~

Peter saw Ned and MJ waiting at his locker, and bee lined towards them. "Hey guys, guess what!" Ned looked excitedly towards Peter, and matched his energy. "What?!" "I came out to, y'know, and they were completely cool with it! Also I got my name changed on the register!" The pair were practically jumping for joy, and MJ watched with a small smile on her face. "Omg! Peter that's awesome!" "Yeah, that's great. I'm happy for you, loser."

The bell rang and the trio departed to their classes.

It was the end of the day, and Peter walked off towards his locker. Today had been pretty good. Everyone was using his preferred name and pronouns, and just acted normal around him - well except that one teacher. He was pretty happy. But the boy hadn't seen Flash today, so he was just waiting for Parker Luck to strike.

~

Peter was loading his locker with books, when he heard the all to familiar foot steps.

"Hey Penny!" Flash called through the hall, but Peter ignored because, well, he's not Penny. "Penny!" Flash repeated with a hint of anger. Still getting no reply, he grabbed Peter's shoulder and spun him round to face him. "Hey, tranny, I was talking to you."
"Oh that's funny, I didn't hear my name."
"You think you're smart do you? Penny."
"Who's Penny?"
"This is funny to you? Huh, Penis!" MJ heard Flash say. She always found it weird that Flash obsessed over Peter's, well, Penis. So she spoke up; "Hey Flash! What's up with your obsession with Peter's penis?" The boy opened his mouth to talk but no sound escaped. "It's a bit weird"
"And kinda gay if you ask me." Ned pitched in. "What no! I'm not gay!" Flash frantically spluttered out as his face became beet red. He then scattered out of the building in embarrassment.

~

'What no! I'm not gay!' Was a complete lie. And Flash knew it was. He also did like Peter. But nobody could find out, because if his parents knew- no they could never know. It hurts him to constantly bully Peter, but he hopes it draws the attention away from him having a crush.

Flash wants to accept Peter, but Peter can't be a boy because his parents would then know he's gay. He wants to accept Peter, but he can't because he's buried to deep in his own denial.

A/N: I'm making an annoying hate relationship towards Flash bc your gonna hate him but feel sorry for him at the same time. So your welcome for any inner conflicts this may cause. The same goes for Steve. He was an asshole but for the right reasons, he's also fine now, so depending on your personal views on the situation you'll either love him or hate him.

I hope you enjoyed the chapter!
