Tigress shivered as she slowly exhaled the dense smoky Gotham air. She lifted the compound bow that she was never without, it was like a second skin to her. The only thing left that she could rely on. The delicately balanced arrow head was now levelled with her eye. Focused on the target in front of her, in one foul swish she released the drawled back bowstring allowing the arrow to slice through the grimy air. A shrill of pain rose above the traffic, alerting the city of her presence. It was a tactic that she had been taught deep in her past that resurfaced when she was most vulnerable.
Execute. Disappear. Repeat.
The man toppled from the edge of the balcony that he was stood on, falling to his inevitable death. He would have died anyway from the arrow being launched into his vital organs, but the fall is like the cherry on top for Artemis, as she began to back into the shadows of the night where she belonged.
Artemis was unsure who her target was, she just followed the list from her employer, it was the closest thing to make her feel something even if it was remorse for a split second. The heroine was hard to spot inside her, though still embedded into her brain somewhere, but in her time of need those that had influenced her told her not to listen to it. She had become unstable. Emotionless. A murderer.
At first Artemis didn't notice the streak of yellow light that caught the man and gently placed him on the ground, and closing his eyelids in a sign of respect. But by the time the yellow blur had reached her leaning against the wall waving her arrow covered in blood in front of her, she wasn't surprised.

"Glad you could make an appearance in Gotham, I was almost worried that you were never going to show up again." The blonde archer sarcastically snarled as the disappointed Kid Flash stand in front of Artemis with a hopeless expression.

"Artie this isn't you, imagine what Wally would say if he could see you now." His soft voice moaned into the darkness of the night.

Artemis shook her head and spat, "You know nothing. Grow up from your naive ideas. Wally is gone, there's nothing more to it."

Bart Allen's eyes widen as he pushed himself off the wall and began to cautiously approach her. "I know the pain you're trying to push away. Please let me help you." He pleaded as leant out to place his hand on her shoulder. But the same moment he had even lifted up his arm, Artemis notched an arrow on to the bow string and lifted up her compound bow. "Take one more step and I'll put you in the ground."

He froze on the spot, she was even more hostile then he expected but it had been 2 years since he last spoke with her. There wasn't a hint of remorse or any emotion in her voice, it was chilling. The rumours of Tigress' villainous returns were Young Justices main concerns for the last month, but she was impossible to track down. But he didn't want to believe it, he had to see it for himself. Now that he had he was speechless. 'I'm sorry Artemis, I'm sorry Wally. It shouldn't be like this' was all he could think.

"Get out of here Impulse, before I do something we both will regret." She's still in there at least, he thought to himself. He just shook his head in response. She sighed "I wont be so forgiving next time", she unnotched her arrow and jumped down, catching her self on a power line with her bow. She knew full well that Bart could follow her, she was stealthy but he was fast, she knew enough from being with Wally. But there was something in his eye that made her realise he wasn't capable of following her. Artemis' head was trilling like a fire alarm was set off right in the core. She jumped of the line onto a near by building, disappearing into the shadows. As soon as she knew she wouldn't be found she collapsed to her knees. Struggling to get a breath in, she grabbed at her chest in hope to reduce the tightness but the feeling of suffocation wasn't fading. The sight of the Kid Flash set her off worse then she could have imagined, all the feelings she had successfully pushed down felt like they were imploding inside of her. 'No more, please no more.' She begged, tears streaming down her face, 'I can't see him again, I can't take it.'

Bart stood there in disbelief, the rumours really were true, Green Arrow really wasn't lying when he said she put an arrow in his leg when he kept trying to talk to her. Her hesitation wont last much longer then, he thought in horror, oh Wally what should I do?
