Location: Diego Garcia- A.R.K Ship

Residential Level 2- Medic's Room

Time: 8:15 A.M

Medix sighed as he shifted on his berth and nuzzled his face into his folded arms.

As an early riser by habit, it wasn’t often Medix chose to sleep in on his days off, but so much had happened over the past few solar-cycles that he figured it wouldn’t hurt to relax and get as much rest as possible before continuing with his trainings and studies that would commence the following day. He stirred only once when he heard Ratchet leaved the room he shared with Moonracer, but the mechling made no move to follow his sire. About a half joor later, he heard his carrier leave the room and start down the hall.

Once the femme’s footfall faded away, Medix settled himself to fall back asleep when a new sound roused him from slumber.

::Medix.:: Roadbuster growled over the comm link.

The young medic jolted at the call before rolling on back and rubbed his optics, ::Yes, Uncle Roadbuster?::

So much for much needed rest…

Roadbuster on the other hand, paused as he heard the grogginess in his nephew’s voice, ::Were ye still rechargin’?:: He asked incredulously.

Medix rolled his optics, ::Yes. My sire said it was alright to get a couple of extra joors of recharge.::

Roadbuster made an indecipherable noise, ::Ah, there goes yer sire…coddlin’ ya like always.:: He taunted.

Irritation flared within Medix. It was too early for this slag. ::Did you need help with something Uncle Roadbuster?:: The mechling asked while pinching the bridge of his olfactory sensor. Or…what little bridge he did have, thanks to the flat ‘nose’ he inherited from his father.

::Watch the tone, youngling! I already get that attitude from yer sire, I don’t need it from you too!:: Roadbuster snapped irritably.

Medix frowned in confusion. What attitude? He had asked a simple question in the most neutral tone he could muster?

‘Leave it to Roadbuster to find a reason to scold me…’ Medix thought in annoyance. None the less, he offered apology to his uncle and tried again, ::I’m sorry Uncle Roadbuster. Is there anything I can do for you?::

::Well…since ya asked so nicely,:: Medix could practically hear the smirk in his uncle’s voice, ::there is somethin’ you can do for me.::

::Alright. What do you need?::

‘Please don’t let it be something ridiculous…’

::I need you to tell your Jo to watch where she’s goin’! She nearly drove into me, speedin’ in like there was a Decepticon on her tailpipe!::

Medix shot up into a sitting position, ::Whirl nearly ran into you?::

::Drove! She nearly drove inta me!:: Roadbuster corrected the nitpicky detail, ::An’ then she only gave me a half-afted apology b’fore goin’ who-tha-pit-knows-where...::

Medix frowned. That didn’t sound like Whirl at all…

::Do you know where she was heading?:: The mechling asked, pushing himself to his feet and heading to his door panel.

::All I know is, she’s somewhere on the ship. I was goin’ out. She was comin’ in.::

::I see…:: Medix mused as he keyed in his code and stepped out of his room, ::And would you by any chance, know which dire-:: The sound of an approaching engine echoed down the hall, followed by screeching tires as Whirl drifted around the corner down the hall. ::Never mind, I found her.:: Medix informed before shutting off his comm, effectively hanging up on his uncle without a proper ‘goodbye’. Something the Wrecker would bring up during their next meeting.
