Prologue:
[ Y/N was an adeptus appointed by Rex Lapis himself. The myths say; she was neither sociable nor prideful. Instead of helping people by being there, she used her abilities behind-the-scenes, avoiding social contact with the people of ancient Liyue. This sparked many tales and legends about the blessings of a beautiful, hidden goddess. Not once had anyone heard her voice-- Rex Lapis aside, they said. ]

Centuries after the end of the Archon War, historians began to look into the adeptus' legacies. While searching, they recorded down the lives and deaths of these 'immortal' beings. Was there even any point in calling them that, when all of them have met a mortal end? Oh, but it wasn't all of them, was it? Just one-- one of ancient tales-- she survived. Or maybe she didn't. She disappeared with the others during the archon war, yet her body was never found. Presumed dead; this was the only conclusion the dumbfounded historians could come to.

Deep in an underground cave, lit with mystical lights of the ancient gods, smooth yet slightly sullied water flowing and covering the lower portions of the entire cave lied a sleeping goddess. Indeed, they ought to change her legend to that of an ever-sleeping goddess instead.

She opens her eyes, greeted with a fairytale-like scene. Her eyes felt drowsy and heavy, while her clothes stayed damp from all the water she was sleeping on. Disorientated, she rubbed her eyes furiously and opened them even wider the second time.

"Oh god, where the hell am I..."

That was more of rhetorical question. She knew deep down exactly where she was. After all, she lied down here of her own will-- and that of Rex Lapis'-- many, many years ago. With one snap of her fingers, she fell into a long, long slumber.

"Oh, as Rex Lapis' devout servant, I shall remain immortal for as long as it takes peace to stabilize in Liyue. Only then, shall I awake and continue my duties as Liyue's protector."

...

She continued.

"Because, who will protect Liyue, if all of us 'immortals', summoned for one sole goal-- to protect Liyue-- succumbed to mortality in this Archon War?" she said, expression pained. Her voice spoke of a subtle sense of hesitation, and her voice was emotional-- like a human.

With this, the famed goddess spoke her last words until an uncertain period of peace arrived.

Soon after the ancient god, Osial, is defeated by the co-efforts of the traveler and adeptus' of Liyue, she awoke from her slumber.

...Chapter 1:
"Ugh. What a horrid sensation. My body is all drenched in this dirty water... Did I not enchant it with a spell?" she thought out loud. She examined the water closely. An adeptus' spell is absolute, and won't wear off unless the source of the power is affected. The water wasn't as muddy as it should've been, under the covers of a cave for many centuries and all.

I suppose my abilities have weakened. It has been a long while, after all. I wonder how Liyue is doing...

Casting yet another spell, she got herself out of the underground cave. When she took her first step out in the flourishing greenery of Jueyun Karst, she was blown away.

The flowers bloomed at least a hundred times more beautifully; the grass was no longer of a wilting color, but vibrant and welcoming. Birds chirped loudly and enthusiastically, light zephyrs blew past rhythmacally. Upon one smell of the surroundings, an overwhelming scent of nature surprised her. The air was fresh and clean; and though she was an adeptus, she could not help but wish she was a mortal; to be able to admire everything at each moment, unfazed by the constant barriers thrown at by life.

"...I should look for Rex Lapis." she said, clothes but drenched and incredibly stupefied from all the things she's never seen before.

"...Could it possibly be?! One must be hallucinating! It's Y/N!" a familiar voice with a familiar hint of elegance resounded behind her. She turned around to find an old friend-- Cloud Retainer.
