(If you're here while its still ongoing, i chanhed it from grease to halloween bc i wanted it to be horror and thats the best and only horror movie ive seen from 1978)
Stanley called the two boys downstairs when it was time to leave. Robin bolted down the stairs while Finney walked, smiling at how excited Robin was.
"C'mon, Fin, hurry up!" Robin complained while waiting for Finney to tie his shoes. "I'm going, I'm going, jeez," Finney laughed for a second.
Robin tugged Finney into the backseat of his uncles old car.
"Jeez, Robin, almost just killed me," Finney complained after his elbow hit the seatbelt. "You're fine," Robin told him while putting on his seatbelt. Finney rolled his eyes and did the same.
"You boys ready?" Stan asked them, looking back. They both nodded and Stan pulled away from the driveway.
••When they got their tickets and popcorn they pulled into a spot, not too far away from the screen, but not too close either.
"Is it already playing?" Robin said, confused to why there was already something playing on the screen.
"No dumbass, these are the previews, we've been through this," said Stan. Robin nodded, remembering his uncle telling him that many times before.
Finney giggled at Robin's stupidity. "shut up, Finney, like you're any smarter!" Robin said confidently.
"At least i didn't pretend to need tutoring. Hey, you never told me why you did that?"
"Uh, because i uh.." Robin trailed off, hoping his uncle would intrude their conversation or the movie would start.
Finney furrowed his brows waiting for Robin to respond. Robin looked forward at the screen and decided just to not answer. It would be weird to say it's becuase he wanted to spend more time with him, especially in front of his uncle. Did he like Finney? Maybe. Probably. Definitely. Finney was absolutely perfect in Robin eyes.
"Good answer," Finney said saracstically. "You boys want to sit up front here, it's more comfortable and has a better view," Stan spoke.
They both agreed and Finney moved to the passenger seat while Robin sat in the driver.
The movie began playing and Robin told everyone to be quiet. "No one was even talking," Finney whispered to him.
"You just did," Robin whispered back. "So did you!" Finney said. Robin shook his head and looked back to the screen.
Finney watched as the unknown person walked into a house and grabbed a knife. He shifted in his seat. It was obvious when the assumed killer grabbed a knife, they probably wanted to stab someone.
Finney was shocked to see the killer simply watching as a boy left the house without being murdered. He covered his mouth and gasped as he did however murder a girl. Robin just laughed.
"How can you laugh? She just died?" Finney removed his hand as he stared shocked at Robin. "It's funny, best part of movies," Robin smiled. Finney shook his head.
Half an hour into the movie, Micheal Myers began stalking a girl, and a dog began barking. It was quickly shushed. "Oh. My. God. Did he kill the dog?" Finney asked, eyes wide in shock.
"Probably," Robin held in his laugh. "Don't you dare laugh. That was a dog," Finney said disappointedly. Robin shrugged and looked back to the screen.
(guess what. another time skip. i am not writing out this whole movie, just important bits kinda.)
"Alright, I'll be back, I'm getting more popcorn," Stan announced after Bob had just been killed, leaving a terrified Finney and a giggly Robin alone in the car.
"Again with the laughing! You are insane," Finney exclaimed, trying to ignore how Robin began uselessly trying to hold in his laughter. "I'm sorry, come on you have to agree a little, the deaths are just funny," Robin said once he calmed down.
"Absoluetly not," Finney disagreed and looked over to Robin who was already looking at him. The two didn't say another word, they just stared. It reminded Finney of the night the two fought. He quickly looked away, not wanting to get caught up in the moment.
Robin looked disappointed for only a second before he redirected his gaze back to the movie. He couldn't help but wish Finney liked him in the same way Robin likes him. But in the 70's, something like that is near impossible.
"I'm back!" Stan said as he got back into the car, holding a bucket of popcorn. "What did i miss?" He asked. Robin looked back and took the popcorn before he faced forward again, not bothering to answer his question.
"Good to know," Stan mumbled before he finally stopped talking.
Throughout the rest of the movie, he couldn't help but to think Finney was mad at him. Robin wasn't sure why, he knew he didn't do anything, but Finney didn't talk at all when another person got killed and dead bodies began popping up out of no where, which is unusual for Finney not to say anything. Sure, he occasionally gasped and flinched, but it wasn't the same.
•When the movie finished, Robin and Finney returned to their seats. Finney tilted his head to check to time, seeing it was nine. He knew he'd be out late and he knew he'd have to face the consequences, but now that it's actually going to happen, he wish he had just left with Gwen.
•Finney hopped out the car once it pulled up in front of his house.
"See you Monday?" Robin smiled to him. "Of course!" Finney nodded, waving to him. He walked inside of his house, seeing his dad watching something on the television. He glanced over at Finney.
"Where have you been," Terrance said, standing up. "With a friend," Finney knew no matter what he said, his dad would still be mad he was out without permission. And Terrance most definitely was angry.
•Robin, in fact, would not be seeing Finney on Monday. Or Tuesday. Or any other school day that week.
