Finney climbed back through his window, flopping down on his bed. He could only think about Robin.

A knock interrupted Finney's trail of thought. He sat up and stared at his door, waiting perhaps for a voice or another knock.

When another knock did come, he sat up and opened his door.

"You were literally gone forever I had no time to tell you anything!" Gwen exclaimed, pushing his door open further and allowing herself in.

"What," Finney said, confused. He still could barely think straight.

"I made a new friend, and i went to her house, and her brother was that really cool dude, Bruce. But there was also that really scary dude, Vance. Anyways, i had a lot of fun. Anyways again, where the fuck were you?" Gwen's tone changed multiple times during her explanation.

"Sounds like fun. I was with Robin," Finney contemplated telling Gwen what really happened. But how would she react? Finney could only come up with bad results.

"It was. And what were you guys doing? You were gone for hours," She sighed. "Um, well we went to the baseball field and uh.. we sort of.." Finney paused for a moment.

"Finney I think you-" Gwen started.

"We kissed," Finney blurted out, cutting Gwen off. He looked at his sister. He couldn't tell if she was disappointed, or confused.

"Finney.." She spoke softly. Definetly disappointed.

Finney could almost feel his heart stop beating as he heard a plate smashing from behind him. Finney knew who was behind him, he also knew exactly what he had just heard.

Finney slowly turned around, seeing his dad with a shocked face, his hand held out, no longer holding a plate carrying food. It was now smashed to bits on the floor.

"You what?" Terrance said outraged. Well, shit.

Gwen sat alone in her room, her doll house open and her bible and crosses spread out.

"Please, God, let my brother be okay. I know i said you're not real, but please be. please be real! And please let Finney be okay. Amen," Gwen whispered into her cross before she put it all back into her dollhouse, shut it and walked to her bed.

She shut her eyes, not wanting to hear any of the yelling anymore.

"I wasn't talking about him, I swear! I'm sorry!" Finney cried out in the other room. Gwen plugged her ears, but it was no use.

She pulled her hands away and let them flop down next to her.

"You are to never see him again, you hear me?" Terrance shouted. "Okay. I won't see him again!" Finney choked out.

"If i see that boy near you, that will be it," Terrance said before a door slammed shut and loud footsteps could be heard stomping down the hall.

Gwen opened her door a bit to see her dad was no where to be seen, so she quickly exitted her room and snuck into her brothers.

He was sitting on the ground with his head hidden in his hands. Gwen dropped down next to him and hugged him. Finney didn't move.

Of course the first time Finney had an actual friend, if not more, and was finally happy, his dad had to ruin it. What was he supposed to do? Entirely not talk to Robin? Maybe if they just talked less and drifted away, Finney wouldn't have to worry about doing the unfriending part.

"I'm so sorry," Gwen mumbled, pulled away from Finney, staying seated next to him. "It's not your fault," Finney said, lifting his head and giving her a small smile before he worked on wiping away his tears.

"No, it is. If i just stayed out of your room, dad wouldn't have found out," Gwen frowned.

"It doesn't matter, he would've found out eventually, it's not your fault," Finney said, bringing a hand up to her shoulder reasuringly.

(idrk what the fuck happened to school, but its back now !)

Finney walked into school at his usual time hoping to avoid Robin. As much as he wanted to talk to him, he couldn't. For his own sake.

Was he being selfish? They could still talk, just less. Finney just hoped his feelings would somehow fade away with their friendship.

"Finn!" surprise, surprise, it was Robin. Finney kept on walking, trying to just ignore him. He wanted to just turn around and talk. But he couldn't. His dad always finds a way to find everything out, it would just be best.

Robin grabbed his shoulder as he caught up with him, but let go quickly once he was next to him. Maybe it would just be best if Finney just did the unfriending bit.

"Oh, hi. Uh, can you come over at like six? I just need to talk to you about something. It's important," Finney said nervously, his voice shaking.

"Yup, I'll be there," Robin nodded. Finney nodded back and walked off into the nearest bathroom.

Robin thought nothing bad of Finney saying he needed to talk. Not even how he said it was important.

Vance began walking towards Robin frantically. "Dude, there's a major party going on tonight. Starts at six, pretty much everyone is going to be there. You have to go," Vance said.

"Hell yeah i'll go!" Robin said excitedly. Vance patted his shoulder with a smile and walked off.

Wait, tonight? At six? But he told Finney he would go over. Would he rather go to an epic party, or go over to Finney's? The answer was clear.

**

After school, while Robin was walking out of the doors, he ran into Finney.

"Hey, you'll be over, right?" Finney double checked with Robin.

"Yup!" Robin nodded. "Okay, good, because it's really important, and i just uh, really need to tell you," Finney said, sounding almost worried, or scared.

Robin nodded, "Alrighty."

Robin walked home, staring at the ground. What exactly did Finney have to tell him, and why was he making it sound so important?

Robin didn't bother thinking about whether he should go to the party or go to Finney's. He already made up his mind, the answer was clear.

So, when it was nearing six, Robin made his way to the party. What would be the big deal? He was with Finney everyday, so what if he just wanted to go to a party for an hour or so? Finney could always talk to him later.

**

Finney waited expectantly for Robin at his window when it neared six. He didn't expect him to show up right on time, maybe ten, twenty minutes.

however, after twenty minutes Robin didn't show. Or after forty minutes. Finney no longer had hope Robin was coming. Did he forget, or did he have something that came up?

Finney wasn't mad, he understood. He would always talk with him tomorrow.

However, at eight when Robin appeared in his window, clearly drunk, Finney became quite mad. He didn't show for a party? Finney understood anything else, but a party? He said he would show, yet ditched him for a party? wow.
