Robin noticed Finney didn't come on Monday. He thought nothing of it, he could've gotten sick. But on Wednesday, Robin began to worry.

Gwen had been avoiding him at all costs, she knew Robin would pile her with questions. Friday is when Robin finally found her.

"Hey, where has Finney been?" Robin asked after cornering her. "Home," was all Gwen could think of.

"No shit! But why? Is he sick?" Robin rolled his eyes. Gwen didn't answer for a moment. She didn't want anyone finding out about how their dad treats them, especially not Robin. Who knows what he would do.

"He can tell you why," Gwen finally said. "Well then can i come over?" Robin said, beginning to get annoyed.

"..no," Gwen said slowly. "Oh my god, Gwen. Just tell me if he's okay or not."

"Okay in what way?" Gwen raised an eyebrow. "Sick? Hurt?" Robin shrugged. Gwen recalled the events of last Friday night. A lot of yelling, all from her dad, and a loud noise, also from her dad. Then Finney being told he had to stay home for the rest of the week. Gwen didn't hear why.

"Uh, he's fine." Lie. "Just a bit sick." Lie again. "Nothing to worry about." Yet another lie. Gwen was constantly worrying about Finney while she was at school. She wouldn't know if their dad was doing something until she got home.

"Okay. Give him this, will you?" Robin seemed convinced. He then handed her a tiny piece of paper folded into fourths. Gwen stuffed it in her pocket, not really caring to look at it.

When Gwen arrived home, she was thankful to see their dad was gone at work. She headed to Finney's room, seeing him at his desk doodling on a sheet of paper.

"Finney," Gwen said softly, approaching him. "Hi, Gwen. How was school?" He asked, looking up at her. "It was fine. Here, Robin asked me to give you this," Gwen said, pulling the paper out of her pocket and holding it out.

Finney grabbed it and quickly unfolded it, revealing a phone number. Finney stood up, hissing as his back stung with pain.

Finney ignored it and walked to the phone where he dialled the number.

"Hello?" A voice said, definitely not Robin's. It sounded more like a woman. "Uh, hi. Is Robin there?" Finney awkwardly said.

"Oh, is this Finney? He just got home, he's just getting something to eat, hold on.. Robin!" Said Robin's mom.

"What?" Finney could hear Robin saying in the distance. "Someone's on the phone for you."

Robin took the phone and spoke into it, "hello?" He mumbled.

"Hi," Finney said, still awkwardly. "Oh my god, Finney? Jesus, are you okay? I talked to your sister today, she said you were sick?"

"Oh, yeah. Just sick," Finney nodded although Robin couldn't see him. "Will you be back Monday?" Robin asked.

"I hope," Finney said truthfully. He hated being locked up in his house not being able to see Robin or Griffin. His dad wouldn't be home for another hour, and that brought an idea to his head. "Hold on," Finney blurted out and put the phone down.

"Gwen! Can i invite Robin over? Dad won't be home for another hour and he can always leave out my window," Finney pleaded. Gwen nodded and said sure. Finney raced back to the phone.

"Why don't you come over for a bit?" Finney suggested. "Oh, i do want to. But I don't want to get sick," Robin sounded genuinely disappointed.

"I'm not sick anymore, I've felt fine all day, just stayed home just in case. But it wasn't contagious anyways, my sister or dad never got it," Finney was quick to think of an excuse.
