Finney walked into school, aware of the bruises and small cuts that scattered his face. People would stare at him anyways.

"Hi," Finney looked over, seeing Griffin walking next to him. "Hey, Griffin!" Finney smiled to him. "You okay? Your face looks pretty rough."

"Yeah, I'm fine. My dad isn't as great either," Finney frowned. He knew he could trust Griffin, assuming how their fathers were both abusive in different ways.

"I'm sorry, Finney. That sucks."

"Finn!" Finney looked over, seeing Robin now walking next to him. "Hi, Robin," Finney smiled.

"Hey! And hello to you.." Robin trailed off as he realized he didn't know Griffins name. "Griffin," he said.

"Oh, nice! I'm Robin," he smiled. Griffin nodded.

"Jeez, Finney. What happened to your face? It wasn't Matty again, was it?" Robin pointed out. "No, i fell down the stairs to my basement," Finney said, chuckling to himself.

"I thought you said your-"

"Griffin," Finney quickly cut him off. "Oh, was i not supposed to.. oops. Well uh, this is my class anyways," Griffin laughed nervously before he entered his class, leaving the two.

"What was he on about?" Robin frowned. Finney shrugged, "i don't know."

"You sure? If someones hurting you, you gotta tell me. If you don't want me to beat the life out of them, okay, i can try doing that, but you have to tell me if someones bothering you, Finn."

"It's nothing," Finney told him. Robin wasn't entirely convinced, but he didn't want to pry at him just yet.

"If you say so. Where will i find you at lunch today?" Robin began asking that everyday so he knew just where to go.

"Probably the library again." That was always Finneys answer. "Alrighty," Robin smiled.

During lunch, Finney was definitely not found in the library. Instead he was found running away from Matty, Matt and Buzz. They all thought Robin was no longer there to protect him, so they decided to take advantage of it.

Buzz pushed him to the ground and Finneys face slammed against the concrete. He quickly rolled over and tried standing up.

"You're not getting out of this," Matt said, kicking him back to the ground.

"Your boyfriends not here to save you this time. Or any time," Matty laughed, joining Matt in the kicking.

"Boys!" A loud voice boomed behind them. They turned around, seeing the principal walking quickly towards them.

"Shit," Matty cursed under his breath. The principal told them to go to the office while she took Finney up to the nurse.

Finney talked with them for a while before the principal left and the nurse took care of the tiny cuts visible on his body.

Robin checked the library, Finney was not there. Griffin didn't even know where he was. He was passing by the office when he noticed Matty, Matt, and Buzz all in there.

Robin panicked, hoping they didn't get to Finney. He entered the office.

"Excuse me, why are those three in here?" Robin asked the secretary. "I'm afraid i can't tell you that," She told him.

"I don't really care. Did they get to Finney Blake? He's my friend," Robin tried convincing her. She nodded.

"In that case, yes. They did, he's in the nurses office," She sighed.

Robin nodded and faced the three boys. "Don't think i won't find you off school property. Because i will, and so help me i will fuck you all up," Robin threatened them before he left.

He entered the office, seeing the nurse had just left and Finney was sitting there, staring down at his legs.

"Fin, jeez. I'm so sorry, i swear to god I'll kill them," Robin said, walking near Finney. "It's okay, they didn't do much," Finney sadly smiled at him.

"You already looked bad. Now your just.. awful. You gotta stand up for yourself one of these days."

"Yeesh, thanks, Rob. And i will, one day. Just not today," Finney frowned. "I didn't mean it like that, i just meant the bruises and what not," Robin quickly told him. "Sure," Finney said with a joking tone.

"Really! I didn't mean your face in general, you have a beautiful face," Robin said with a wide smile and a joking tone. Finney smiled back, but he didn't look at him.

Finney knew Robin meant it in a friend way, but he couldn't help but to be disappointed that it was.

"Okay," Finney finally said.

"Hey, do you want to come over?" Robin asked Finney while they were waiting outside for Gwen.

"I don't think i can today. I'm just tired," Finney sighed out. "I get it. I'll see you tomorrow, Finn!" Robin patted his shoulder before he left. Finney waved to him even though he knew Robin wouldn't see him.

"Finney, please tell me you're not hanging out with Robin again," Gwen frowned when she walked outside.

"Not today. Why?" Finney said, beginning to walk away from the school. "Because, you're getting hurt too much. One day dad's gonna do more than hit you once or twice," Gwen said with a hurt tone.

"Don't worry about me Gwen. I finally have a friend, i just don't want lose him, okay?" Finney mumbled.

"I know. But how do you think i feel having to see you hurt everyday because of an avoidable situation? I'm glad you have friend, just not everyday."

"I'm sorry, Gwen. Not everyday, i promise," Finney said, holding out his pinky for Gwen to shake.

"I see you're finally on time," Terrance grumbled when Finney and Gwen walked inside. Finney nodded and the two headed off to their separate rooms.

He pulled out his homework and attempted to concentrate, yet his mind kept trailing off to Robin. He was so glad he could finally have such an amazing friend like Robin. He was just the friend Finney wanted.

Finneys pencil rolled out of his hand as he remembered what Robin told him. "When were you going to start looking out for me too?"

Finney stared ahead, realizing the honest answer to that question would have been nothing. Finney had done nothing for him.

Robin goes out of his way to protect Finney and is always the one asking to hangout while Finney just follows him around, takes up his time, and causes him to get in unnecessary fights.

Robin had done so much for Finney just by being his friend, while Finney has done nothing.

He allowed his head to drop down on his desk, making a thud noise.

He didn't deserve to have a friend like Robin, let alone a friend at all.
