"Dude, let's play something!" Kate exclaims, flicking a fry over at Roy. Roy immediately looked offended and tried to flick it back to her but Kate dogged the fry.

Kendall stared at the two being childish. Currently it was lunch time, they had just ate and went out to the field to have some fresh air. For some reason though, Kate brought her fries that she was supposed to throw away but instead used it as weapon to kill Roy.

"Yeah, like what game?"Roy asks, without looking away from his phone.

Kate hums before answering, "Gay chicken?"

All males became silent and stared at each other wide eyed. Roy comedically almost bursts his eyes out while Kendall could have sworn he stopped breathing. Maybe his heart too.

Kate rolls her eyes at the guys who looked like they've just seen a ghost. "Oh please, you've never played it?" The three guys shook their heads in response. "I've played it with like my female friends."

"Gay chicken, huh?"Roy hums, the shock in his face completely disappeared to a more amused look. "Is it the one where you have to lean in until someone chickens out, and if not they kiss?"

Kate nods, "Yep, that's the one!"

"Wait,"Roy says, catching the attention of all of them. "Isn't there another version of it?"

"Yeah, it's called fire truck." Kendall respond now making them all look at him. They look at him expecting an explanation but he stayed silent. It's not like he was gonna sell himself out by telling them that Daisy played that with him and he eventually chickened out the moment she touched his thighs.

Kate clasps her hands together excitedly, "So, let's start with-"

Kate got cut off when the school bell rang indicating lunch was over. She gave a middle finger to the intercoms and huffed, folding her arms together. She squints at the boys, "Don't think I'll forget this. I'll remind you all!"

The three of them made their way to their respective classrooms. Kendall sat down in his seat for chemistry. There was a part of him that was relieved and thankful for the bell to ring but the other half of him was expecting to see how the game would have turned out.

"Going straight home again?" Liam asks, leaning against the door waiting for the raven head.

Kendall nods his head at Liam. "It's not like I'm allowed to go out anyways." He winced that he just blurted that information out.

"I guess you have strict parents?"

Kendall looks at him, "I guess you could say that." It's not a lie but it's not the truth either. Kendall knows that even if he were to ask his parents to go somewhere it's not like they'll let him, so he doesn't ask them anymore. Or, he also had to bring brother which is something he doesn't want to do. That kid may look sweet but Kendall swears there is something wrong with his brother.

"Well, if you don't mind," Liam draws out the end before pushing himself off the wall. "Is it alright if I walk home with you again?" He smiles at Kendall.

There it is again. That stupid, grin that he has. Kendall doesn't know what is so heart stopping about it but he swore his heart skipped a beat for moment.

"Home sweet home," Kendall says, standing in front of his house, looking over at Liam. "By the way, is your home in the same direction as mine?"

"Yeah. It's down the block."

"I didn't know that. How come I never see you around?" Kendall inquires.

Liam didn't answer right away as if he were thinking of coming up with an answer but Kendall didn't notice. "Well, it's just that I'm not really at home. I usually go hang out at the mall, with friends."

Kendall hums out an "oh".

"Do you want to, like, hang out some time over the weekend?" Liam asks.

Kendall ever so slightly raised his eyebrows up at the question. He just told him that he's not really allowed to go out but still asked.

Does he want to hang out with me?

"I would have to check with my parents first," Kendall awkwardly says.

"Oh, right." Liam shakes his head, grinning. "Sorry, I forgot. But if you ever are allowed, just chat me?"

Kendall nods his head. Liam waved him goodbye like last time and went off the opposite direction of his house. Kendall thought that was weird but ignored it and went inside the house.

"I'm home," he announced out of habit. Though it's not like anyone would have greeted back because his parents usually get off at work around 5:30pm. Or even later than that. He sets his bag down onto the couch where his brother was already playing a game that he's been obsessed with. He sat down and watched him play.

An hour passed and he heard the door knob twist, signaling his parents were home. Kendall got up from the couch while Chase followed behind him.

"Hi," Kendall greets both his mom and dad. Chase ran and hug the two of them.

"What's up, guys?" Kendall's dad asked while putting his car keys away.

Chase and Kendall both replies with "nothing much" as they took a sit on the dinning chairs. Raquelle soon came out of her room and also sat down.

"Hey dad," Kendall says, catching the attention of everyone.

"Yeah?"

Kendall looked at the ground before answering, "I was wondering if it's okay to hang out at the mall with a friend?"

"With who?"

"Liam Shane. He's a good friend of mine."
