I was assisting Ms. Weems as she welcomed the new student. Wednesday Addams and her parents were sitting on the other side of the principal's office. I was at Weems' side, hands behind my back pretending to be the good student everyone said I was. I was bored, barely listening to what was being said, my eyes were mesmerized by the uniqueness of the girl in front of me, she had long black hair braided in two pigtails with eyes as dark as night, which I could see in the discreet glances she gave me from time to time."This is Agatha Sinclair, the brightest of my students," the headmistress began as she raised her hand towards me, without a movement their gazes went to me, shivers ran through me as their eyes pierced me. "She's a year older than you, she'll be your chaperone and make sure you find your place among us" she addressed the girl.
"I don't need help, I don't need to find my place because I don't intend to stay." Wednesday answered in a calm tone of voice, her gaze redirected to the woman in front of her. It was as if everything that came out of her mouth was defiance. She didn't even look at me, I rolled my eyes and huffed,I don't know what to expect with her.
"Don't worry Wednesday will make a place for herself here" added her mother with a forced smile at the corner of her lips.
"Agatha, can you take this box to Mr. Thorpe, please?" she gave me a small smile as she showed me the box full of paint supplies. I gave her a small smile and nodded. She left the room followed by the three Adams.
I picked up the boxes and headed to the courtyard where Xavier was doing a mural. He was a good painter but I hated to admit it, I know him because he's Bianca's ex-boyfriend, my best friend and my roomate. But other than that we never really spoke.
I walked over to Xavier who was painting, I watched Bianca sitting on the fountain talking with her other mermaid friends, she noticed me and waved at me with a big smile. I smiled back but the smile disappeared when I got close to Xavier.
"Hey" he smiled at me. I didn't even look at him but I knew he was smiling at me, it was his habit, he thought he could control everyone with his charming smile.
"Wow your painting look like shit" I say while observing the bird he had painted, I don't find his drawing so horrible it was actually really beautiful but I don't like being soft.
"Oh you're always so good at complimenting" he looked between the mural and me, I could hear the sarcasm in his voice "Actually my inspiration was you.
I squinted my eyes and finally met his gaze "ahah" I pretended to laugh. His smile could reach her ears now, I admit that his charm was working a little on me.
"What do you have for me?" he motioned towards the box that was still in my arms.
"Ms.Weems told me to bring this to you, you could take it if you don't mind" the box was starting to get heavy.
"Oh yeah im sorry" he picked up the box and turned to the other side of the yard "Who is that?"
I turned and saw my sister with the new girl. I guess it was her new roomate "Wednesday Addams, the new girl".
"Wow, she's kind of eccentric, don't you think" he laughed. I turned my attention to him, he was taller than me but it wasn't a big height difference either.
"What I think is none of your business" I smiled at him.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to piss off the furry" my smile dropped immediately.
I flashed my claws and pointed my index finger at him "next time you say that, those claws will end up in your arm".
"Calm down kitty, the next time you pull out those claws it will be to grab my back" he said with a cocky smile.
