And last, but certainly not least, is our trio. Kendall, Kalani, and... Taylor. You will be doing a jazz funk number entitled 'Broken'. I shyly smiled at the girls, when Abby spoke up. "Finally, we have Solos. I have 5 solos. Maddie, you're doing a pretty lyrical solo called 'The Truth' Nia, you'll be doing a jazz solo called 'Inferno'. Mackenzie, you haven't done a solo for a while. So, you're doing a lyrical/acro happy piece called 'Wish me luck'. Our new girl Tessa is doing a Contemporary piece called 'I'm the one' and finally, Taylor." After she said that, I got so excited. I couldn't believe that it was my first week as an ALDC dancer and I had a solo! Abby resumed saying "Taylor, you'll be doing a dark contemporary piece with some acro elements in it, called 'Industrial'." After Ms. Abby finished she told the moms to go upstairs and told us to stretch. I stretched my needle alone, then Kalani and Kendall invited me to stretch next to them. I gladly did and finished stretching 10 minutes later.
"Okay, we're going to start off with the groupo. As for the lead, I haven't decided. So, I need everyone to do contemporary improv."
