Chapter 23; Crossing paths

Chapter 23

" I told you already dad! I won't go abroad" Build demanded countless times. " I already told you many times that I'm a grown up adult and I already even promised you that it won't happen again" He continued.

" Just please believe your son for once" 

Build was now in the living room, talking to his parents, asking for forgiveness. He doesn't want to go abroad for many reasons! He needs to continue his studies from University at least before he transfers overseas.  

" And how can you assure that?" His dad then asked.

Build stopped for a moment, thinking of a convincing answer to please his dad. He's not that smart to infer any more excuses. But there's one thing that comes up into his mind. But he's not ready to take a risk.

But perhaps, if he doesn't have any choice then—-

" If I fail to keep my promises, I'll take over the business just like you want" Build offer.

Somehow, Build's father was having a hard time considering his son's request. But he knows that this opportunity just comes once in a lifetime. 

" Deal. But after you finish graduating, You'll Immediately learn how to take over our business. Are we clear?" 

Not typically convinced, Build defeatedly nodded by force because he doesn't actually have any powers to even oppose his father's grant.

Hopeless, Build stood up from the couch, and was about to leave when his father called his name again, enough for him to hear.

" Build, Were not done yet here "

Annoyed, Build lazily tilted his head from the side, hearing his father's voice. 

" Do you have any consideration or change of mind?" He sarcastically smiled.

" We and your mother " His father clears his throat before proceeding. " We apologize for not reckoning your feelings this past few years" 

Build's gaze softened, hearing his father's statement. He can't actually believe that there's still even left sympathy for their stoned heart. It's just a miracle for him that his own parents regretted their actions. 

Almost unbelievable but still remarkable

" I know that we can't Immediately ask for your forgiveness but please let us make up for our own mistakes" 

Bullshit

" Sure whatever you say, Now can I leave?" 

There's no need. The actions already happened, what and how can you make up for it? Pile of money?

Build chuckled, intentionally leaving his own parents, disappointed and furious. 

These past few days haven't seemed too good to him. Every Time he meets his own boyfriend or even sees its face, Build feels something down from his core like some kind of anger and guiltiness because of Bible's statement. He knew he shouldn't believed in those, but why would he even lie? 'cause they're enemies?

" What a childish reason" Build mumbled. 

Now, Build was inside the bar where people mostly waste their time dancing or grinding their asses to someone. He's not that kind of person but he feels like he needs alcohol to at least forget his problems. It's suffocating him
