The Truth About Kai

Nya's POV

And so, the next day, I waited till after lunch before asking Kai the question.

"Kai, can I speak to you?" I asked him.

"You already are," he replied.

I kicked him in the shin. "Kaaaaaaii!"

"You mean privately?" he rolled his eyes.

"Yes, obviously!" I yelled. I was furious. Furious that he hadn't given me answers, furious that he was teasing me, everything.

I led him to me and Jay's room, since Jay was playing Roblox with Lloyd in the living room.

I shut the door and then pulled the chart paper out of my pocket. I tossed it to Kai.

"AH--AGHHHH!!" he screamed in shock, catching it. "Open it," I told him, and he did, and then gasped.

"What the--who the--where the heck did you find this?" he stuttered.

"In your closet. Now, explain this. What does this all mean?" I questioned him.

"I--It means--uh..."

"Is this a...a CRUSH LIST?!" I asked, smirking at him.

"A-heh, heh..."

"You KNOW you can TELL me," I pressed.

"Yeah, it is." he said with a sigh.

"WHAT?!" I gasped.

"Yeah, Nya. I'm Bi."

"Wait, you're Bi?!" Kai kept shocking me every second.

"Yeah."

I didn't know how to react to this, so I just hugged him. "How come you didn't tell me earlier?" I asked.

"Well, I dunno, I guess I was just afraid to tell you. I didn't know how you'd react."

"You know I'd always support you no matter what, Kai," I said, smiling and patting him on the back. "So, are you gonna tell Lloyd and Cole and Jay?"

"That I like them? Whoa, no way!"

"No, that you're Bi."

"I'll have to tell them that I like them after I tell them I'm Bi, anyway. Not yet, though."

"Whenever you're ready," I said, and then we heard the bell ring.

"Let's get the door," I told Kai, and we ran down and opened it to find Cole there.

"Cole! Back so soon?" Kai asked in shock while I smirked at him. "Whaat??" Kai mouthed to me, blushing.

Lloyd, Jay, Skylor, and Harumi ran downstairs, and then Cole moved to the side. "Let's welcome the Ex-queen of Shintaro," he said.

"Ex-queen? What happened?" asked Lloyd.

"She's staying with us now," Cole beamed proudly. "She gave her throne to Hailmar."

"Bro, what the fu--" Lloyd said, but I quickly put my hand over his mouth.

"OH, LLOYD!!!!!!!!!!!" yelled Kai and Cole. I saw Jay silently laughing and I smiled at him.

"Anyway, let's get her settled!!" yelled Cole.

After we all started walking away, I whispered to Kai, "Now that Cole's here, you hafta tell them."

He gulped and nodded.
