(Hello in Korean)Something I discovered last spring was the magic and amazingness of Korean dramas.
Are they dramatic?
Yes. But are they also about relationships, real characters (not flat stereotypes), unique situations, and filled with a lot of heart?
You bet they are!!!
I've learned to absolutely love kdramas because one, they are a lot cleaner than American tv shows. Two, they take their time. The characters don't instantly jump into a relationship or even having physical contact. It's about getting to know each other and growing!
It's literally what I strive for in my writing and so I love it!!
With that said I've started to know a lot of kdrama actors and so for my own amusement I decided to cast the characters of A Secret Service as if the book was going to be made into a kdrama.
If you know kdramas and Korean actors let me know if you pictured different ones for each character.
Now! Here's my Secret Service kdrama cast!
Carter - Kim Tae-ri
(Loved her in Space Sweepers and Twenty-Five Twenty One)
Donovan - Kim Soo-Hyun
(He's unreal in It's Okay Not to Be Okay. It's an intense one so heads up, also one of the more mature ones)
Link - Park Bo-Gum
(Such a cutie! Record of Youth was a little slow but I loved the dynamics he had with his grandfather)
Steve aka Captain - Hyun Bin
(Crash Landing on You. Gosh! So good! Watching it for a second time with my sisters!)
Maggie - Son Ye-jin
(Come on! You know I had to put them as a pair! She's the female lead from Crash Landing on You)
Maddy - Park So-dam
(I first saw her Cinderella and the Four Knights then Record of Youth)
Mason - Nam Joo-hyuk
(The Start-Up and Twenty-Five Twenty-One. Amazing in both!)
What do you think?
I'm not sure I've seen a more attractive cast ever!
Thanks for letting me amuse myself!
