changed the way i dressed
cause i thought you'd be impressed
if i looked more like the girls at your school
driving me insane, but you're driving me home
oh all the things for you that i've done
touch ever soft yet the sharpest of words
everything you're doing to me somehow hurts
and maybe i'm the heartbreaker
maybe i ruined you
but don't you forget
how you ruined me too
what good were you for me
and what was i to you
did you even love me
or was that a lie too
thought i wouldn't hear
but word travels fast
sorry i couldn't make this one last
back and forth, tug of war
fighting just to be heard
while we were both screaming we didn't hear the words
white lies and blurred lines
a mess beyond control
heartbreaks and mistakes
if i could undo it all
i can't say i would
cause what you never understood
was that i lost me to get you
so maybe i'm the heartbreaker
maybe i ruined you
but don't forget how you drowned me
dragged me under and beneath you
you were no good to me
and i was just a girl to you
but don't you forget
my heart was broken too
