I walk into the cold, small room. Beck is sitting in a wooden chair that looks rather uncomfortable. Beck is facing away from the door but turns around when we walk in. Smile, Allison. It's not like he has been in here for hours. Don't let him know how worried you were. He gives me a shaky smile and I send him a bright one. Or at least I hope it looks bright.

I stand next to Beck who remains sitting. "I would give you my chair, but I kind of can't stand very well," he jokes. At least his humor is intact. That is a good sign, at least. Although Beck is able to maintain his humor and sarcasm even in the dimmest situations.

I am slightly confused. There is only a desk with a plush chair on one side and two wooden chairs on the other.

"Let's not draw this out. Tell us what you know." I demand. The doctor chuckles softly. "Beck is going to be fine. He broke his leg and will need to have a cast but it is not a serious break. He did hit his head but everything is okay besides his leg. He is lucky. Judging on how he was when he came in, we thought that it was going to be much worse. He's lucky."

I look at Beck. It could not just be a broken leg, could it? I guess so... I force a smile. "Thanks, doctor, for not leaving anything out." Beck narrows his eyes at me but does not say anything. "Typically Beck would wear a cast for five to six weeks but we are testing out some new methods that will cut that time down to about a week. Here is some pain medication." Beck pockets a small white bottle that has his name written on it in small neat letters.

"You may leave now and please take the elevator." I suppose we are dismissed? I raise an eyebrow at Beck but he just shrugs. "Thank you." I say and help Beck up, handing him his new crutches.

We walk out of the small room and the two men who had been waiting with me were gone. There was someone else sitting on the same bench that I was before I was called in. He was wearing a pin that looks as if it could have his name on it.

Beck and I slowly approach the elevator. It does not seem like he has ever used crutches before because he is having a hard time working with them. We are almost to the elevator when the guy with the pin looks up from the book he was reading and plasters an artificial smile on his face.

"Hey. I'm Tyler and I believe that you are the two that were missing from my group earlier." Group? What? I stare blankly at him for a second and then give him an equally artificial smile. "Maybe. I'm Allison. It's nice to meet you Tyler." I extend my hand to shake his hand. Tyler takes it, and gives me a brief, strong handshake.

I can't help but notice how unapologetically attractive he is. Tyler has a strong square jaw and bright green eyes that stand out against his tanned skin. Tyler's hair is black, short and wavy. I am five seven but he is at least six feet tall.

Tyler gives me a small smile showing off his dimples. Maybe this isn't going to be as bad as I thought...

Beck suddenly becomes very talkative. "Hey, Tyler I'm Beck. In case you were wondering, here is a little synopsis of my day so far. Allison, her brother and I had to wake up early. Not fun. Shortly following that we had to get into a strange car with tinted windows and arrived at an aircraft that we were expected to get into. Pretty sketchy, right? Then we were 'chased' by someone in the air. We get into a car and thought we were being kidnapped. We freak out and try and escape. I get hit by a car and we learn it was all a 'test'. Then I meet you, who seems just delightful." Beck finishes with a snap.

"Beck..." I whisper hoping he realizes that he is being rude. "Allison..." he almost shouts. I sigh. I am just making this worse.

"Okay well I am going to take you to your rooms now. You missed a meeting but everyone else in your group was there so I am sure that you will be filled in tomorrow." Tyler gives me a small smile as he glances between Beck and I.

We all get into the small steel elevator once again. I hold my breath as it begins to shoot upwards. There is no telling what will happen tomorrow.
