The Grievance Process

A/n hello it's Cal again lol thank you so much for 20 reads so far and adding my story to your libraries!!! Also three votes now thank you so so much I really appreciate it!!!! This chapter is gonna be a lot more light hearted than the last three I feel like we need some happy in it lol this chapter is gonna take place after Sapnap moves in with Dream and what he went through with his grieving process as Dream helps him with it. Also added another song will tell like always when to listen to it lol

Dreams pov of past when Sapnap first moved in:

It was the next morning and he had just woken up he saw it was past 9am. He looked to the younger who was still asleep on the couch. Dream grabbed a blanket and threw it over the younger boy making sure he'd stay warm. 'alright now to go make breakfast for us since it's the weekend he won't have school till Monday.' he thought to himself and started to head to the kitchen to make the two food.

Sapnaps pov:

Sapnap had finally woken up to the smell of food he hated breakfast and never really ate breakfast food at least, the older male thankfully knew this. He got up and went over to Dream "Morning. What are you making?" he asked softly "Morning you dork and since you don't like breakfast foods at least sweet ones I decided to make omletes." dream smiled at Sapnap and chuckled "oh my God that sounds amazing." Sapnap smiled and chuckled as well "Alright well while I'm cooking you can go watch whatever you want." Dream smiled and shooed him away. To which Sapnap nodded and ran over immediately putting on netflix and watching "Hunter X Hunter." it was his favorite anime and his comfort one, even if he had watched it so many times.

Dreams pov:

Dream looked over at the brunette and smiled when he saw him singing to the anime intro he laughed softly and smiled. Sapnap was just singing and smiling to the anime intro, then got quiet once the episode started not at all noticing that dream had been staring at him.
Dream finished making food and set everything up on the table. He plated the food and sat it on the table in the two spots for him and Sap. "Hey food is ready Sap." he said with a smile. Sapnap nodded paused the anime he was watching and got up "Alright sounds good." he grabbed some chocolate milk and brought his glass over to the table. As much as Sapnap hated sweet breakfast food he loved chocolate milk. Dream smiled as the younger sat down "you could've started eating without me since I was just grabbing chocolate milk." Sapnap said to the older male. To which he shook his head "Nah I wanted to wait for you so I can see your impression of the food!" he laughed softly and smiled. Sapnap laughed softly and nodded "Alright alright gimme a sec to sit down and I'll try it you nerd." he teased and sat down. Once Sapnap sat down and got all situated he tried a bite of dreams omelet he made "Holyshit this is amazing what the fuck?" he asked softly and immediately ate more of it. Dream laughed and smiled "oh yeah? You like it?." he laughed as he saw Sapnap eating it so quickly "Damn Nick slow down you're gonna make yourself sick." he said softly as he laughed more.

Sapnaps pov:

He laughed and slowed down on his eating.
Once they were done eating he looked over at dream "Hey you want to go stream with me?" he asked softly with a smile. "Yeah of course what do you want to play?" he asked softly. "Hmmm probably fall guys!!!" Sapnap immediately got excited. Dream nodded "Alright sounds good by me."
They played fall guys and streamed for a bit "NO FUCK YOU DREAM!!!!" Sapnap yelled while Dream was in his room cackling and had his teakettle laugh immediately come out "Oh my God I can't-" he started to cough as he was laughing "You choking on a dick over there?" he teased which only caused dream to laugh and cough more "No you ass I choked on my own spit as I was laughing." he was still laughing "Nah Nah I think you choked on this dick!" Sapnap said as he pushed dream off the edge since it was the next round of fall guys "NO YOU ASSHOLE HOW DARE YOU!!!" Dream yelled and heard Sapnap now laughing then he got knocked off the edge "NOOOOO WHAT DA HAIL!!!!" (what the hell) Sapnap yelled as his Texan accent came out which caused dream to immediately start wheezing and laughing again "Man's really said WHAT da hail!!!!" dream was laughing even harder "Fuck I'm gonna pee myself!" dream said through his laughs "dude did you really just say you were gonna pee yourself?" Sapnap was laughing a ton now "YES STOP MAKING ME LAUGH MORE!" Dream yelled. The two sat there laughing for ten more minutes. They ended stream an hour later and it was now dinner time. Sapnap walked to dreams room and knocked on the door. Dream got up from his bed and opened it "Hey what's up?" he asked softly to the shorter male. "Do you want to get some food by chance?" Sapnap smiled up at dream. "Yeah sure why not what would you want to do?" he shrugged a little and chuckled. Sapnap chuckled and shook his head at the indecisive male "What about we go out to a restaurant for once?" he giggled. Dream kinda got nervous about that one since he hadn't done his face reveal yet and probably wouldn't for awhile. "I dunno Sap I still haven't done my race reveal yet." he sighed gently. "oh shit yeah I forgot that okay how's about we doordash something!" Sapnap got excited to which dream nodded to "Alright gimme one sec I'm gonna shut down my pc and then we can meet in the living room to decide what we want to eat!" he smiled at the younger and ruffled his hair. "Yeah alright sounds good!" he got excited and went downstairs while he waited for dream.

Dreams pov:

Dream shut his pc down, also turned his monitor and headphones off. He started to head downstairs where he saw the younger male curled up on the couch under a blanket on his phone. "Alright so let's get on doordash and decide our food then!" he smiled. "Yeah alright sounds good let's do it." Sapnap smiled and chuckled. Dream sat down on the couch next to Sapnap. They both decided on a restaurant called Wingstop they both put their items in the cart for door dash and had it delivered and waited for the food" I'm so excited for fries and ranch!" Sapnap said excitedly as he put a hand on his stomach. Dream laughed and shook his head" Wait ew you dip your fries in ranch?" he made a grossed out face at Sapnap. "Hey its good as hell!!!!" He defended his fries and ranch, which caused dream to laugh "You weirdo..." he said softly teasing him.

A little bit later after their food was delivered they were playing games together and the power had gone out.

Sapnaps pov:

Sapnap was playing with dream on their pcs when the power went out "Ah what the fuck!?" he said loudly and was irritated at the fact that the power went out. The two met up downstairs to actually talk and spend time with each other until sapnap got the idea a little bit later "Hey do you wanna play some chess for a little bit?" he asked. Dream nodded and watched the younger grab out the chess board. They played for awhile until Sapnap started to get hot "Okay I think I'm gonna go take a drive it's really hot I know you can't come sadly but it's cooler outside probably?" he suggested. Dream nodded and smiled a little "Yeah you're good and I might go outside to keep cool not sure yet have fun and stau safe alright?" he asked softly. Sapnap nodded smiled "You know I'll be safe don't worry I'll be back as soon as you text me that powers back on!" he ran upstairs putting on a hat and a hoodie. He grabbed his keys and phone and went back down. "see ya once the powers back on." dream waved and smiled at him. "Yeah of course see you when the powers back on." he said as he ran out the door and locked it. The brunette got into his car and started it he started to drive around and vibe out to music he started to play 'uncomfortable by Wallows.' (here's where you play it!!!). Sapnap heard what song came on and he turned it up about up to 25 and was just vibing out singing the lyrics. That was until he started to cry this was a song he and his father would listen to together a lot.'the first grieving process...' he thought to himself 'denial...' he thought to himself again 'I still don't want to believe he's gone but I know he is... It just still doesn't feel real like he's actually gone... Fuck he wouldn't want me crying...' he thought to himself as he wiped away his tears that he had.
