The Grievance Process Pt2

A/n hello this is part two of the Grievance Process I hope everyone is enjoying and is having a great day/night!!! Also thank you for 27reads holyshit lol!!!

Sapnaps pov of past:

Sapnap was still crying but he pulled over so he could cry and let it all out. 'God, I know he wouldn't want me crying but I can't help it at all...' he thought to himself. He was starting to calm down a bit later. One of those things that helped him calm down was his favorite song 'Dope on a Rope by The Growlers.' (listen here) he then turned the music up even louder singing to it and smiling now he wiped away his tears and was genuinely happy now as he smiled and laughed at himself singing.
A few hours later after Sapnap chilling in a random abandoned parking lot he got a text from Dream.

Dreamy boiii💚🎭

Dreamy boiii💚🎭: Hey bud powers back on if you wanna come back and chill.

Sappynappy: Alrighty be back soon.

And with that Sap locked and set his phone down in the cup holder next to his seat with plonk sound. He started to head back home.

Dreams pov:

It was about ten minutes later and he saw Sapnap was home "Hey welcome back dude." he said as Sapnap opened the door. Clay saw the younger male with a tear stained face and immediately got up embracing the younger into a hug feeling the younger hug back and hide his face in clays chest. "Hey its okay it's okay..." clay reassured Nick as he started to cry again "No it's not he's fucking gone..." he spoke softly while it was also muffled through his sobs "Hey its okay I know he's gone but hey he's not in pain and you're making him so proud Nick..." he rubbed Nick's back gently holding him close to his body. Nick nodded and his tight grippened on Clay. The older noticed this and hugged him tighter. "How's about we go cuddle and watch a movie yeah?" clay asked gently to which he received a nod. Clay just said fuck it and picked up the younger boy, which he got a small noise from him in surprise, but the younger wrapped his legs around the olders waist. Dream smiled and he gently set them both down on the couch Sapnap still clinging to him as they laid down.
The two ended up falling asleep while watching Treasure planet.

Sapnaps pov:

Sapnap was currently in the shower after his nap he had with Dream. He dropped the shampoo bottle he had in his hands and it made a loud clatter "Fuck!" he said loudly and was now getting angry "fucking fuck you God dammit!!!" he yelled a bit. The next stage of his grief he was dealing with was now anger but he didn't know this. Dream jumped awake startled by the loud clatter and Sapnap yelling. He got up and decided to check on the younger. He knocked on the bathroom door. "Sappy you alright?" he asked gently and softly. Sapnap jumped when he heard the knock on the door "Ah yeah I'm alright..." he called to Dream. "Alright if you're sure." Dream called back "I'm gonna be in the living room if you need me alright?" he asked gently but also called it to Sapnap. Sapnap nodded and sighed even if Dream couldn't see it "Yeah sounds good I'll be out soon." he picked up the shampoo bottle and sat it back down. He waited till he heard Dream leave. Dream went back downstairs and went back to the couch. Once Sapnap knew he was gone he sat down on the shower floor and pulled his knees close to his chest and hugged them as he cried softly not wanting dream to hear him "This is your fault he's gone..." he mutered to himself angerly. Sapnap didn't know why he was so angry but he was and was blaming himself for his father's death even knowing it wasn't. He clutched onto the bullet necklace so tightly missing missing his father. That's when he figured out that's why he was angry "Ah yes the second stage to grief anger..." he sighed gently running a hand through his soaking wet hair that was finally getting longer. He knew he was going to be angry most of the day since he was in denial over his death the previous day but never told Dream about it because he didn't want him to know about everything that was going through his mind not wanting to be a burden to him. Now that he finally had the time to grieve and process everything that happened he let himself take that time to do so and Dream even knew he needed to so he let him.

The next week was a bit better for Sapnap the previous week the two males stayed at home primarily and didn't really do a whole lot they went swimming and hung out a lot on discord and their server. Today was a little different for Sapnap he was now going through the Bargaining stage of Grief the third stage. The only reason he was getting through the stages so quickly was because of the trauma dealt with his father's death and what his mom put him through as well.
"Please let him come back take me instead not him fuck why couldn't it have been me and not him..."Sapnap said softly to himself."take me please..." he said softly again. He had been Bargaining a lot during the day but it was worse now that he was alone because dream was out grabbing food and was going to try and cheer up Sapnap since he knew what stage he was going through now.

Dreams pov:

Dream came home and could hear Sapnap listening to music and singing along to the lyrics. He smiled and chuckled to himself. He started to put away all the groceries he grabbed. Dream went upstairs and knocked on Sapnaps door "Hey it's me can I come in?" he asked softly Sapnap paused his music and he got up opening the door "hello Dreamy Boi." he teased. Dream rolled his eyes and chuckled "hello Sap I have some food if you wanna make dinner with me but I wanted to check in on you and make sure you were okay!". Sapnap smiled and nodded "I'm doing better now but sure I'd be down to make dinner with you!" he sounded very excited. "Alright well let's go then dork." dream smiled and he started to leave sapnaps room. Sapnap followed close behind being excited he didn't cook often but loved doing that with dream at the very least.

Sapnaps pov:

The two males went downstairs to go cook food together. Sapnap smiled being very excited as he waited for Dream to grab out all the stuff for cooking. "I see stuff for cookies and wait is that stuff for mozerella sticks!?" he asked excitedly. Dream nodded "Yeah I got stuff to make mozerella sticks since you did talk about how much you loved when my mom would home make some I got the recipe for it!!!" he giggled and was very excited about it. The two males worked on making the home made mozzarella sticks. Dream put them into the freezer and put a timer for two hours."Alright so the next thing I had that we can make was the bullshit pasta that you made for me." he chuckled softly. Sapnap immediately lit up with excitement "Yessss oh my God I'm so excited." The two males cooked everything and made cookies specifically chocolate chip cookies Sapnap and dreams favorites to make together, then once the mozzarella sticks were ready the two sat down and ate everything.

A/n hello I hope you enjoyed this chapter sorry it took me so long I struggled to write it because of my friend who passed away a year ago now it was hard to write the Grievance Process out because it's stuff I went through and it's still hard honestly but I'm gonna do a part three and do the last two stages of Grief which are depression and acceptance!!! I hope you enjoyed and I'll try and write more another day!!!
